Dr. Robert Cohen is a true professional!! I am currently 8 weeks post op lift/aug using the Sientra textured implants. The results are unreal and my recovery was so easy! He was able to turn my lopsided, saggy breasts (thanks to nursing two beautiful girls) into beautiful, full breasts with a virtually invisible scar. Being a dentist, I understand attention to detail during surgery and Dr. Cohen blew me away with his surgical skills. He is top notch and runs an awesome practice with a dependable staff. I had met with several other doctors in my detailed search for a ps and have to say that the techniques they proposed for my case would have resulted in additional scars. Some of the surgeons were only comfortable tackling my asymmetry with saline implants. Dr. Cohen was able to place silicone implants and hide my incision circumareolar. His website speaks for itself! I am so grateful to Dr. Cohen and his staff for this amazing experience!

Glad to hear you are happy with your results. What size Sientra implants did you get? What was the most challenging part of the process for you? Hoping your return to work was seamless. Congratulations and thank you for sharing your story on RealSelf!

Hi Beth! Dr. Cohen place 355cc in the right breast and 385cc in the left in order to balance the asymmetry after the lift. I'm very happy with how even and perfect they look! I returned to work one week later and had NO problems seeing patients. I have to say that my best friend who recently underwent a lift and aug with Dr. Cohen also had a seamless recovery so I know it's not just me. He is an incredible and gentle surgeon. I couldn't be happier!

Oh that's nice you have a friend you can talk with about your "surgeries!" You mentioned you're a dentist. Will you be taking an prophylactic antibiotic when you get your teeth cleaned? I've heard a mix of responses to this question. Enjoy your new symmetrical look!

Hello again! I have researched that topic quite extensively and feel there is no need to premedicate prior to dental cleanings/treatment. Although breast implants are considered implant devices, bacterial infections are unlikely in breast implants. The FDA does not recommend it in the case of breast implants but I understand how some people may question this as they are implant devices. Also, I realized I didn't answer part of your original question. The toughest part of my recovery was adjusting to sleeping on my back. Once I was able to turn slightly to the side (after a few weeks), I was sleeping through the night again.

Thank you for sharing your perspective regarding the dental premed. I have actually yet to come across any members who experienced infection as a result of dental treatment. Glad you're back to your normal sleeping position. I know many women surround themselves with pillows so they can't roll over the first few weeks and hurt themselves. ;)

Hi EGDDS,

You're post was written a couple of years ago, but hopefully you'll see my message and reply. I am getting my BA with Dr. Cohen on August 11, 2016. I would like to know if you are still happy with your results.

Thank you,

Froggi
