Picture to show high implant

mlwatson1971
WORTH IT$5,500
I thought it would be helpful to post this picture as the others don't really show the raised implant very well.

Yeah that is still pretty high :(. Saw my dr yesterday and still the same. He says he wants to see me back in 3 months when things have officially "settled" but that it looks like there's a 20% chance I need the pocket opened ( a few weeks ago it was a 10% chance). Told me he would charge only the anesthesia fee.

Doctor offered to fix implant

mlwatson1971
I received a call from my doctors assistant and she told me Dr Yao would open the pocket to allow the implant to settle. He said he would not charge a surgeons fee but I would still need to pay $1700 for surgery room and anesthesia. It sucks having to pay $1700 but I appreciate him waiving the surgeons fee.

that's good that's what I did and it's turning out really well. I'm happy for you!

Thanks. I just just found your questions. Similar to mine. I read Aldo Guerras response on March 8th. Wow! What a $&@!. Gotta love how blames you. First, you're asymmetric, then you are dumb having implants wo expecting problems. Jeesh!

Suggested moving my nipples!!

mlwatson1971
I went back in to see my PS and he said my inframmarary fold and my scoliosis led to my asymmetry. I tried to explain that I was not concerned about an asymmetry, my concern was the implant being too high. I asked him if he could just open the pocket a little but he said the implant would bottom out. He suggested I raise my nipple instead. Ludicrous!!!! There is nothing physically wrong w my nipples. A $3500 crescent lift is not going to fix the implant being too high. Anyway, I left the office and did some more research. I went to a different PS who had 20 years more experience who said it was a simple capsulotomy procedure. Of course it was going to cost me $3500 to get him to fix it. I then gathered my info and sent an email to Dr Yaos office explaining my findings and asked for a response. That was last Thursday and I have not received a response. There were a couple of other things dr Yao said at my last appointment that really raised a few red flags but I believe in giving him the benefit of the doubt.

I would get a second opinion

That's awful. Glad you went for another opinion, but stinks either way to have to have another surgery, I'm with you in that boat. I have my appt in a couple weeks to reconfirm my need for surgery on the right boob. I feel unhappy w my surgeon in general. I hope you can find an acceptable answer
