Last November one of my saline implants ruptured and I was left uneven. Options for dealing with this included removal or replacement of the implants. I ultimately decided to have both of the implants removed as I was no longer happy with my breast size or appearance. My experience of having the implants was kind of an unpleasant one, so going back was right for me, for now...

Glad everything turned out well for you...I too have a rupture after 8 years and am awaiting surgery as I have decided to have them removed completely ...it's a big decision to make and I dread the look after but my health comes first xx

Remember to give yourself time to heal. The body is amazing in it's healing abilities. It could take 6 to 12 months to completely heal but I'm sure you will be pleasantly surprised. At my one week check, my Dr. told me that was it. I could expect no more healing. You know what I told him? I said no, I have faith and am giving myself more time and I know it gets better. He laughed. Guess what? He was wrong! I knew it took time because of this site and all the great women on here. The fluffing ferry does come. Your body does heal and I think you will be pleased. I am sorry you had to go through the trauma of a rupture. It's great to be free of implants! I hope you feel as liberated as I do! Thanks for reviewing Dr. Remus Repta. Thanks for your support. It is amazing the difference I feel to have the implants out. Physically, the process has been amazing. No pain whatsoever...very different from having them put in! Emotionally it's been a little more difficult. I've had children (three post implants) and breastfed all of them. The difference in my breast appearance is shocking. I know it will continue to change over the next several months and I'm ok with going along for the ride. My children keep me busy and focused on the fact that they are the most important purpose in my life.

It is a shock! I also went from a 32D to a 32A. And it brought up my children issues- I breast fed them all for at least a year. My 3 kids are over 20 yrs old so it was a long time ago. I had no idea this surgery would bring up some many emotions.

Good luck to you. My first thought when I looked at myself immediately after surgery was, "Oh no! What have I done?!" Two plus weeks later, though, I feel much much better! I know it was the right decision for me :) It will take some getting used to (I was a 32D with implants, barely a 32A after!) but already I feel it was worth it. Take care; hope your surgery goes well!
