Having surgery this week for explant. I loved my implants for a long time but after 15 years these saline bags need to go. Ive been in a lot of pain for over 3 years. Above muscle left one has shifted. They feel very heavy and not part of my body any longer. Although I could probably pay about the same amount to have them replaced I've thought long and hard and gone to many doctors and decided that I no longer want them in my body. It took me a long time to finally make the appointment for the surgery so any encouragement of what to expect afterwards is highly encouraged:-) i'm confident from this site that I will bounce back pun intended lol! I was an AA and Went in for a full c, but I'm a D Way too big. I will post pictures eventually. If anyone has any tips for after surgery please feel free to comment. Thank you!

I have no tips because my surgery isn't until Sept 1st, but I want to wish you good luck! We have similar circumstances, as far as size and length of time in. Are you getting a lift? I hope you get the results you are hoping for!

I'm only getting them out. No lift no implant revision. AcCording to the doctor he thinks they'll be fine I will just take them out and then see how they settle and then I guess I'll decide for future if I will get a lift are you not plan on ever putting implants in my body again.

I'm not getting a lift no matter what. I'd maybe consider fat grafting, but that's about it. I'm really hoping I will be pleased with my results and not need that either. I hope it goes well!

Hi, thanks for your story so far which is similar to mine. It's a really tough decision but well done to you for making it. This forum is amazing and the help and support you get is incredible. It was definitely my therapy and helped me through this process. I have a few tips on my blog in relation to creams, etc but I think the main advice is to just take it day by day. It's a roller coaster of emotions, physical changes every day. Take care and keep us posted. X

Hi, lovely to hear from you. Glad u ok. Yes, you will be tender for some time. Make sure you've got plenty of support around them. I'm still addicted to this forum. It's really funny as I keep re-reading my journey and realise just how brave it was to explant. I still have a little emotional tear too but not because I miss them! I'm going to do my final post next week as I am now at the end of my experience and most definitely 'back to my normality' . Please keep us all posted on your progress. Hugs X

I got saline implants 15 years ago at age 29, there was no talking me out if it. I was happy with results but last 3-4 years lots of pain, couldn't decide to take out all together or replace. Then I found this site and it helped me with my decision. Waiting to see how they look, they look a lot like before implants but a bit of a slope.. Will update with more pics before and after when I feelbetter. Glad it's over and now to heal and feel better. He took out implants and a lot of scar tissue.

Hi there tinykitty! Thank you for checking in on me:-) yesterday was rough I had a bad migraine Sunday night.. And felt pretty bad Monday but today much better.. First couple days seemed easier ha! Just resting and took longer off work. I'm going to try to take the rest of week off but do have some important meetings Thursday and Friday so we will see. Mom is here taking care of me and my boyfriend checks in on me too so that's been helpful. So glad it's over and now I have to take time to heal, but glad I have many supportive people around me. How long did your recovery take? The hardest part is I want to get back to working out and I can't:( blessings and healing to you!! Need to post pics .. My original girls are looking pretty good:) xo

I havent had my surgery yet, I go in Sept 12th! Are you drinking a lot of water to flush your system? Make sure you do, lots of toxins to get out of your body! I am glad your mom and BF are taking care of you! You need to wait at least 6 weeks before you even consider working out again! And yes, you need to post some pics of your lovely new healthy girls! You are still very much freshly post op so I want to make sure you are taking good kind care of yourself while you heal. Eat well, sleep, hydrate and pamper! xoxoxo

Isn't crazy how we have times that we need to slow down and it's hard for us. Anyway tlak soon and yes I will post some pics soon:-) have a beautiful day! Xo
