I am sooooo nervous! And trying to be confident in my decision to go saline under the muscle. My dr. Recommended it due to the amount of tissue but I have heard advocates of both. Has anyone gone saline and regretted ? Or silicone? Help ! I'm so nervous . I have wanted this surgery since I was 12 years old. I have always had insecurities in bathing suits and low cut shirts. My two bestfriends of over 14 years have never seen me with a shirt off. I have researched several dr. And was elated to meet Dr. Malek. He recommended 320cc saline under the muscle implants. My surgery is scheduled to happen in less than 30days and I'm still not confident on the saline/silicone debacle.

I have finally made the decision to go through with my BA. I am so excited and nervous at the same time. I want to keep it as natural as I can with regards to size. By day I am a corporate trainer for a Marketing Software company and by night I am the lead singer in two cover bands. I have traveled all over the world singing and feel confident in my appearance ...EXCEPT for my boobs! I have done all of the tricks....every Victoria secret enhancing, double padded, super push up bra, shading in an optical illusion on my chest to make it look like cleavage...heck I have doubled up on bra sizes on several occasions. Dr. Malek recommended 320cc and 270cc for my right breast as it is smaller than the left. I have made the decision to go Saline, but still get nervous about the final decision. I don't want to have any regrets. I am also somewhat concerned about the down town. I have a VERY active lifestyle and concerned I may have to take a significant amount of time off. Between the two bands, my full time job, full time school schedule it was hard enough getting a day to have the surgery. My surgery is scheduled Feb 10!!! I am excited to document my journey and welcome any words of wisdom, advice, best practices and honest critique. I am creating a "Things to get/do" checklist before my surgery so any help there would be greatly appreciated!! LETS DO THIS!!!!!

Wow! Your big day is almost here. I have 400cc mod plus saline with results I couldn't be happier with, 5+ months post. It's really a personal choice you have to be comfortable with and trust in you PS.
Sounds like you're a busy lady. My procedure went very well with a quick recovery. Hoping the same for you so you're back to it in no time :)

Well its the day before my BA!! Im soooo nervous!! I can believe its here. I feel like I am ready as I will ever be, have an upright chair pillow, prescriptions filled, snacks and movies ready and my wonderful fiancee' who will be waiting on me hand and foot. Are there any pieces of advice anyone can give? One thing I am freaking about is showering, I am super anal about staying clean, especially because my monthly "friend" came to visit 2 days ago!... I also have questions around icing? I heard it is not recommended by some doctors? Ill be sharing some post op pictures soon!

My ps said ice wouldn't be very helpful but said I could use it and actually using frozen peas felt good. I also took arnica tablets to help with bruising. My biggest discomfort was my lower back because I was walking around hunched over, so I reccomend good posture and body mechanics and a heating pad on your back if needed.
