I just had my third surgery w Dr Malek over the course of 14 years (implants after babies 14 yrs ago, removal of implants & lift a year ago, and then implants put in again a week ago). I was beyond content w my original implants and the whole experience, but after a while thought I wanted them out due to upper back pain that I thought was correlated and the age of the implants. Dr Malek was supportive and took time to explain the whole procedure as well as what to expect going from full breasts to nothing w a lift. The finished product was great but after a year I came to the decision that I wanted smaller implants put in so my body was more proportionate. Dr Malek took the time to walk me through this decision and in no way pushed getting them back in. Both times getting implants put in I explained I wanted to "keep people guessing" and did not want to look like I had implants but rather nice natural looking breasts (before baby breasts with a little extra)! This is his specialty. He's an artist and could not be more happy with the outcome even just a week post op. His entire staff is amazing as well and makes you feel comfortable and cared for. I honestly would go to no one other than Dr Malek for any cosmetic procedure. His honest approach and eye for natural beauty is something that cannot be taught. It's a talent and would encourage anyone wanting to make a change, either subtle or major, to go to him. You will walk out feeling beyond beautiful.
My experience with Dr Malek and his staff has been incredible. When I called to schedule my initial consultation, I was greeted with warmth and all of my questions were addressed. My first impression of the office was that it is beautiful and clean while also being welcoming. All of the staff were kind and respectful, they called me by my name and made sure I was comfortable. Surgery day was a breeze, the nurse who started my IV and walked me through the procedure was so personable and easy to talk to. Dr Malek himself was gentle and thorough, he listened to my concerns and made sure to address them all. I appreciated his conservative approach and that he knew what he was comfortable doing and was honest about expected results. I never felt pressured or rushed to make a decision, and Jennifer was always super helpful and accommodating when I called and had questions or needed guidance making decisions. 10/10 recommend Dr Malek and his staff to everyone.
TLDR - 350 mod+ saline implants replaced with 295 and 265 full profile silicone and a lollipop lift. I wanted to write this review because I had trouble finding similar body types receiving similar implants to mine. I am 5’5 135 and 34D preop. my original implants are from 2010 and a 350 mod+ saline with a 12.5 cm base. One was overfilled to 375. The other was underfilled to 325. I really liked them but I’ve had two kids and breast-fed and they just started to feel heavy, matronly and saggy. I met with several surgeons and all of them mentioned that the implant was slightly too wide for my frame which surprised me because I consider myself to have a fairly wide upper torso. My BWD is 13.5. But after three surgeons recommending a narrower implant, I felt pretty good with the advice. I selected Dr. Malek because of his conservative approach. I had surgery yesterday and we used 295 and 265 Allergan highly cohesive full profile silicone implants (SCF). These have the same projection as my prior implants, but an 11.5 cm base. I am only one day postop, but very pleased with the results so far I will continue to post update pictures as I have them. Post op - i have felt really good. I slept about 90 minutes and then watched the Olympics and took another nap. Slept great last night. I haven’t taken the muscle relaxer since yesterday afternoon. I’m still on hydrocodone but feeling like I can transition to Tylenol later today.
When I initially started considering having my implants removed and liposuction I did what most do; used google and yelp to search plus asked my network for referrals. Dr. Malek’s name came up numerous times which is what led me to schedule my consultation. From my initial phone call to schedule, in person consultation, surgery then post op I have been extremely satisfied not only with Dr. Malek’s attention to detail, professionalism and care for my overall health as a patient but his team of office staff has been extraordinary. Jennifer is the Office Coordinator and while I know I’m certainly not the only patient in the office she consistently treats me as though I am. I needed FMLA and other medical documentation for my employer and insurance claims which she without hesitation completed quickly. The day of surgery I was nervous but his surgery center and staff there specifically the nurse and anesthesiologist were amazing! I’ve never felt so taken care of pre-op. While I don’t recall everything that happened once I was out of surgery I do remember feeling the best I ever had post op. I’ve had a number of surgeries and this by far was my best experience. In addition, to the top quality of service Jennifer, the rest of the office and surgery team provides I appreciated Dr. Malek’s approach to ensuring the procedures I selected were the right ones for me. When I went in for my consultation I asked for multiple areas of liposuction but he was very honest in declining to do certain areas stating those areas were unnecessary. He did recommend Kybella for under my chin because I wanted liposuction to remove my double chin. He explained why that wasn’t the best course of action and how Kybella might give me the results I wanted. Removing my implants was a decision I made due to my age and health but I appreciated that he was very clear about what the result would be removing my implants without replacing them which is why he would also be doing a breast lift. I had thought that might be the case but I loved that he cared about the overall appearance and as a practice does that in this type of situation. I’m 4 weeks post op. I generally heal slowly so I do see some results but I also know that liposuction and Kybella results do take time but thus far I’m extremely happy with my decision to have Dr. Malek perform my surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Malek and his team to take care of your plastic surgery needs!
Having a tummy tuck is something I’ve always wanted to have done after I was done having kids. After having recently prioritizing myself and my health, and losing 70lbs, I went to Dr. Malek for a tummy tuck/ab repair/umbilical hernia repair. Everyone from the office staff, the nurses, the anesthesiologist and of course Dr. Malek were nothing short of amazing! I felt calm and comfortable going into my procedure as Dr. Malek and his staff explained every minute detail to me. I stayed overnight at his facility to recover before heading home and had the best care and sweetest nurses. Post surgery, Dr. Malek and his staff were available to answer any questions I may have had regarding my recovery. I’m now 12 weeks post surgery and could not be happier with my results! Dr. Malek did such a great job and I could not recommend him more.
I am incredibly impressed with my entire experience with Dr. Malek and his team. I recently underwent breast augmentation and a labiaplasty, and I cannot speak highly enough of the kind, thorough, and attentive staff. Dr. Malek truly listened to my desires and concerns, and provided personalized advice to help me achieve my goals. The before and after results on his website were particularly appealing to me, and I am grateful that he took the time to evaluate my body and offer tailored recommendations for a natural-looking outcome. On the day of surgery, everything went smoothly. My nurse and anesthesiologist made me feel completely at ease, and Dr. Malek checked in with me before the procedure to address any last-minute questions or concerns. Although I am only a few days into my recovery, I am already amazed by the initial results and eagerly look forward to the final outcome as I continue to heal. I highly recommend this surgery center to anyone considering similar procedures.
Before- 2014 silicone implants. 600cc on the left/575 on the right. 2022 had my first baby. Breast got bigger, saggier. Before bra size was a 38 DD. Nipples (Areola's) got huge. Breast felt heavy. Started to have pain from the size. Goals- Exchange implants for a smaller size and get a lift. Surgery date- May24th 2023. Internal and external lift with 350 ccs high profile. They still look HUGE if not bigger than my old implants. Trying not to be disappointed. Lots of swelling. Can't wait to see how they look after swelling goes down. Updated on 2 Jun 2023: Pain is minimal. Went today to have stitches removed. Right breast is larger than the left. Doc says it’s swelling and most likely me using my dominant arm. I haven’t been able to relax and recover as originally planned. My caregiver bailed and I have a one year old. So I voiced my concerns to the doc. Doc says to give myself grace, that I am trying my best. Doc believes I shouldn’t cause any damage to my results. Hoping that’s true so paranoid. IF you’re thinking of doing this and have children I would wait until they are a little older! Just my opinion Updated on 6 Jun 2023: Finally got to see my boobs without the tape. Extremely disappointed at this point. Right boob seems bigger with excess skin underneath. As well as my nipples being shaped weird and dark. Praying for some changes as I heal. Updated on 14 Jun 2023: Still have weird nipples. They look like they’ve dropped a little and rounded out some. Updated on 1 Aug 2023: Not happy. Now that they settle I can’t see a huge difference in size. Or “lift”. Feeling like I wasted my money at this point. Updated on 1 Aug 2023: Nipples still odd
I received excellent care prior to surgery, had a great surgery outcome, and good post care. All of the staff members are excellent with customer service. They are all so friendly and thorough. Dr. Malek was thorough, particular, honest, and caring. The overnight nurses were also spectacular and caring. I’m so happy with my results. I wish I had done it sooner!
Dr Malek is an incredibly talented Surgeon that is very compassionate and caring and a perfectionist in finding a work of art in every body. He treats all of his Patients as if they are a member of his Family always looking out for their best interest. He has saved my breasts from the botchings of 3 other Plastic Surgeons. He’s empathetically listened and removed the recalled texturized implants I had from another Surgeon that I thought were giving me breast implant illness. He also listened and reduced and revised my oversized implants that were causing me severe back pain. His Ethics and standard of care far exceed those in his industry. His Mastopexy results are absolutely beautiful. The best by far out of 3 that I have had. He was so cautious and caring while working with my paper thin breast skin. It’s absolutely incredible the result he was able to achieve. His operating facility on site is so clean and comforting and state of the art. His Staff is so pleasant and helpful and responsive to all questions and concerns before, during, and after Surgery. Dr Kahn has recently joined them and she is just Lovely. So caring, patient, understanding and knowledgeable. You know your in the best hands when you choose Preferred Plastic Surgery. I’m forever Grateful to Dr Malek and his Staff and excited to enjoy my Results for many years to come.
I am 28 years old with no kids. My surgery is scheduled for February 2nd, 2021. This will be my first surgery ever, elective or otherwise. I first had a phone consultation with Dr. Malek during which he looked over some photos I sent via email (I'll share those here) and we discussed my desired outcome. I didn't feel rushed, pressured, nor misunderstood by him at all. I was then transferred to a patient coordinator, and I scheduled a follow up in-person consultation. I ultimately chose Dr. Malek for the following reasons: 1) The consultation process was one of the more organized and professional ones I'd encountered.2) I got the impression that he wants the results of his work to skew more "natural" looking as a rule.3) He has his own surgery center so I would not have to travel to a hospital for my procedure.4) He and his office staff are being proactive during the pandemic. I was told to wear a mask to my appointment, call before approaching the door, and to wash my hands immediately upon entering the building. I am also required to test for antibodies/the virus prior to going into surgery.I have decided to document my journey here on RealSelf in order to help those who, like myself, have had some trouble finding examples of women with smaller breasts undergoing a breast lift. My go-to bra size is 34A. I fit into a 34B well enough when my breasts swell at the start of my menstrual cycle. My bust measurement is about 33 inches usually. In the future, I may opt to get implants in order to fill out more lingerie, but I would prefer the implants to be small. In addition to supplying you with the usual array of the graphic before and after photos, I'll be documenting scar healing and concealment. I have been making erotica/pornography independently for ten years and I'm not stopping any time soon. After the procedure, I will have scars around my areolas and vertical scars beneath them. My content can be more oriented around teasing so it would not be out of character to keep my breasts hidden under clothing, but after a few months, I plan to experiment with makeup, pasties, shelf bras, and the like. I never use Photoshop nor other media editing software to alter my proportions and skin quality. I instead prefer to rely on practical fx like makeup, diffusion filters that screw onto lenses, lighting, angles, etc. For this reason, I think I will likely be more on top of sharing my scar progression than the average poster and I'm hoping to be extra helpful in that regard.2 weeks! Updated on 6 Feb 2021: Hello! I am just here to provide some initial after photos to show what they look like in the very beginning stages of the healing process. Even now I'm really pleased with how they're looking! I think Dr. Malek did a fantastic job. I will try to get photos from the side in natural light at some point but I am pretty tired. Apparently surgery makes you tired. Who knew? As for the actual surgery I feel like describing the process in detail would be almost useless to you because there are so many reviews on this site that give you a great idea of what to expect generally. Your surgeon will tell you all you need to know to prepare, or that info might even be on his or her website somewhere. To save you the trouble of reading the same stuff for the Nth time I will just sum it up this way: I fasted starting the night before as per my instructions, I showed up, I changed into a hospital gown and got an iv stuck in me, they put me on the operating table, and after that it's all a blur up until the point when I woke up in the recovery room. Everyone was very nice and accommodating. The entire time I felt like I was in competent hands. On day 1 and 2 my incisions were still bleeding the tiniest bit but they've stopped. I'll include a picture of the dressing pads just to give you an idea of how much bleeding there was. I've since replaced the pads with new ones and there have been no spots of blood on them at all. I have to sleep and lie around with my back at a 45 degree angle so I'm using a wedge pillow. Sometimes my incisions sting but I assume that's normal. Pretty smooth sailing thus far! I get my sutures removed on the 11th. Updated on 3 Mar 2021: Just popping in to include these photos. Everything has been proceeding just as anticipated. I'm so happy I did this, truly. I'm so much more confident even with the surgical tape and young incisions. It's nuts. I have been changing my tape every Thursday. I think it's important to note that my incisions split the tiniest bit in one spot and oozed the tiniest bit in another (see 1 week post-op photo) but nothing bad came of it. I simply dabbed the areas with alcohol before re-applying my tape. The next time I changed my tape you couldn't even tell that anything had happened, so I'm happy I didn't freak out about it. Dr. Malek advised me to begin using a scar healing treatment called Embrace, so I'll be doing that soon instead of the tape. Updated on 5 Apr 2021: Hello! My incisions have finally closed and begun to visibly scar over so I'm using embrace silicone sheets at the moment. You can see where a little bit of my areola is left over on my right breast (it's a thin stripe). I'll be getting that removed under local anesthesia at some point. I haven't seen many people talk about it, but sometimes when your areolas take up a lot of space on your breasts, a bit of areola skin will be left on the vertical incisions. I saw a couple of surgeons before going with Dr. Malek and they both told me it was a possibility (especially if I opted for implants) so I'd already made peace with the idea. I don't think I've ever seen quite so little areola left over; in photos I've looked at of other cases where areola skin was left they look like triangles. Just something to keep in mind. I'll dig up an example photo so it's easier to understand what I'm talking about. I'd been researching breast lift outcomes off and on for around 10 years before I started visiting surgeons to be examined and prior to my first consultation I'd somehow never even heard of this big areola issue. Again, it can be cut away later once my skin has relaxed and healed up more. I'll upload closer images of the scars without that silicone tape stuff over them soon. It's kind of difficult to see them properly under there. This post is really just to show you their new shape and talk about the areola thing. Updated on 9 Apr 2021: My incision opened up a little bit earlier on in the healing process. It's on the one side towards the bottom hence why it looks a little bit wider and redder in that one spot. It never got infected or anything but it's there. Curious to see how it will heal up compared to the rest of the incision. Updated on 13 May 2021: Well, it's been a few months now and I can say with absolute confidence that this is the best thing I have ever done for myself. I love them. My confidence has sky rocketed. I think my breasts are gorgeous (yes, even with the scars, which have been really easily covered with tattoo makeup for camera), and I've never ever thought that about them before. It's very empowering. 100% would refer all female acquaintances considering this same procedure to Dr. Malek's office. Updated on 1 Oct 2021: Dr. Malek told me everything looks good (I agree) and advised me to wear push-up bras whenever possible to maintain results. I only own one push-up bra from before the surgery and my areolas now peak out of the top, so now low cut scoop neck tops in public for me, unfortunately. I'll have to go bra shopping. The scars have faded further and the shape has been retained since my last update. The leftover areola and scars are incredibly easy to cover with tattoo makeup now (for the camera). Maybe I'll remember to show that later. Love them. Don't regret a thing. Not much else to say. Updated on 8 Feb 2022: Just snapping some quick photos. As I mentioned in a previous update, the brownish coloring just around the bottom rim of my areolas is "leftover" areola skin, which is what you might be left with if your areolas cover most of your breasts like mine did (strangely, some people have mistakenly thought that my areolas are larger NOW. Weird.) The vertical lines are still a little pink. Updated on 26 Mar 2025: I forgot about realself a while back and then remembered it today. So here is a big photo dump. I wear KVD tattoo cover to cover scarring. It doesn't fool anyone in person. It's just for camera. The scars haven't changed since the last update. Updated on 26 Mar 2025: Oh, I didn't realize the last time I updated was when the vertical lines were "still a little pink". Wow, it's been a long time. They're totally white now. If I remember correctly it took about 15 months to go fully white. They were definitely no longer pink by 2023. Also I never had that extra areola part removed (the brown skin). I'll do it eventually. I'm lazy.
If it is minimal sagging of the skin, then this may be difficult to justify. You must decide if it is worth having scars in the groin area. If there were significant laxity, I would say this procedure would be worth it.
This is normal and it may take several months for numbness to go away as the nerves regrow. The pinkness is normal and indicative of good blood flow and means that circulation is improving. If you have redness, swelling or heat radiating from the area, contact your surgeon as soon as possible as that could mean infection.
Absolutely, I often have out patients go through a series of post liposuction massaging for certain areas where the tissues crease (abdomen). These are deep lymphatic based massages to help reduce potential lumpiness.
I agree, liposuction of the face is a terrible idea that would lead to loose skin and a hollowed/aged appearance. There are also great risks of nerve injuries that affect facial expression.
Yes- 80-90% of your results should be evident by 5-6 weeks, with continued improvements noted by 12 weeks.
