After having our cutie kids, I started researching breast augmentation. I was really nervous about the procedure. My goal was a very natural look. I was hoping to just replace what I lost. I did struggle a bit about the 'vanity' of this procedure. The amount of money spent on just me was hard to swallow. However, now that the surgery is over, I am really glad I did it. I am sore, but not in pain. Feels like a got a really great chest workout in. My husband has been awesome at taking care of me. We travelled from Alberta Canada, to have this procedure. It's nice to recover without feeling like I have to take care of the kiddos. Today is day 2 and I feel pretty good. I am bloated, and my chest is swollen, but everything looks really good... far better than I expected them to look this early on.

Hi and congrats!! I'm scheduled to have my augmentation with Dr. Cohen on May 28th! Right now I'm debating between round and anatomical implants. Would you be interested in sharing any pictures? Best wishes for a speedy recovery!

Dr. Cohen had also recommended the circumareloa procedure for myself, wish was a surprise. I haven't had children, but I learned that I have a natural high breat crease which makes this procedure needed to achieve the results I'm after.

He is such an amazing surgeon. You are in the best of hands. Sorry it took so long to post pics. Hope these help.

He didn't even talk to me about round. We went right to anatomicals. I love my results. I feel that I got the exact results I was hoping for, they look better than what I had envisioned.

They look great!! Congrats!! I can't wait! How long before you felt like they looked good in a bathingsuit? Since I'm having mine done the end of May in worried about looking funny all summer!

the photos I took were like a week after surgery. the biggest thing would be UV rays on your scarring. I would make sure you use SPF on the incisions, even if your swimsuit covers them. I am just about at 2 weeks, and they are already so much softer. I would wear a bikini now... they are a little 'perky'.. but they look really good. No one has even noticed that I had surgery. They look so natural already. Hope this helps.

That's great to know!! I've noticed that Dr. Cohen's patients seem to look amazing almost right away. I'll definetely limit exposure, but when I do I'll be extra mindful to apply the spf. I tend to scar easily. Thank you so much for the great advice!

I was nervous about having surgery. I definitely questioned myself a lot. After meeting Dr. Cohen, I knew I chose the right Doctor. However, I wasn't certain if I was making the right choice.
My pre-op consult was fantastic. Dr. Cohen answered all of my questions, he was very thorough. I did try on sizers. I was already leaning towards 350cc prior to going in. I did try on the 400cc. I couldn't really tell the difference. I think the 400 had a slightly wider base. Anyways, I did leave the end choice to him. I even considered going 300(didn't try on the sizer) but I was afraid the 350 might be big... I am really glad we didn't do the 300. I know I would have regretted it. My goal was to have a natural look. I wanted the best of both worlds... to enhance my look with a push-up bra, or play them down for normal life. I knew if I went to big, I couldn't hide them if I wanted to. I was targeting a specific look so that I could play them up or down, depending on the look I was trying to achieve. I am happy with the 350cc, I think I could have went 400cc and still been happy. It's so hard to know when you can't see the finished product.
I am not sure how much my size will change. If they get smaller I will have wished I chose the 400. I read so many times about the 50cc bump up- but I leaned to my conservative side when standing in the consult room. I was scared of being too big.
Surgery day is a blur- I slept most of the day. I don't remember anything about after surgery, other than the nurse telling me to open my eyes. I didn't have nausea, which is a first after surgery. My husband did everything for me day 1 (so I didn't have to use my arms) We went out for supper. Pain was minimal.

Day 2: I felt a lot more like myself. I was sore for sure. Lifting my arms (especially my right one), was tender. By evening I had full range of motion. I just moved slow. I didn't like how the meds made me tired, and kinda foggy. So day 2 I took my last pill.

Day 3&4: I used mostly Tylenol. Definitely bloated. I felt so much better day 3. We were away from home so we enjoyed, sitting around & relaxing. Nice just to hang out with my man. He took amazing care of me. I would say having someone help the first couple days is essential. It would have been horrible and very emotional had I done this alone.

Day 5: I ended up with a slight fever ( nothing serious) just felt warm and my joints really hurt (especially my knees). My muscles were all achy- like I was getting the flu (mostly in my legs). I found my sleep was restless. This was my worst day- I felt off, and not very good, even a tad nauseas .. I also had a head-ache. I looked at the side effects of my anti-biotics and this was all on the list. I had taken my last pill that morning... so now it was a waiting game. By end of day 6 my joints no longer hurt, I think I felt like myself completely, for sure by day 7.

Day7+ each day I feel more mobile. So glad to get rid of the compression bra. I have switched to the genie bra, recommended by my PS. I feel so good now. I am still careful, not lifting or anything, but feel like myself.

Your surgery turned out beautifully! You must be so pleased. I have a consult on Thursday and I'm so nervous about choosing a size, 50cc seems like such a big difference when you're faced with deciding, lol!
April 18, 2015
Thank you. I think I should have made the mental decision prior- to be open minded to the 50cc bump up.. I was more afraid of being too big vs too small. However, looking back I couldn't really see a difference between the 350 & 400... I am very happy with my results, I have just been questioning if I should have been open to a different size? anyways, My advice for you appointment is go up the 50cc LOL

Hey girl, you results look amazing. Can you tell me if you went with Sientra Implant or not? Also, what shape of the base did you use? was it round or classic? or something else? Thanks a bunch!
April 20, 2015
Hey, I did get Sientra, however, I have no clue if they are round or classic. I can try and find out. I am really happy with my results already so soon. I didn't expect to like them for the first month, but I do.

Hi Lincoln78,

Thank you for your post. Your breasts look beautiful. I hope that your joint pain has gone away. I am having my BA with Dr. Cohen on August 11, 2016. I was hoping that you could share what the implants felt like when you first had them inserted, if you had any complications, any problems sleeping on side and stomach, how they feel a year after surgery, and if you're still happy with your results (do you wish that you had chosen a larger implant?)

Thanks in advance! :)
