Slept on my side and it was heavenly!

I'm finally getting to a place where sleeping on my side is somewhat doable and that's miraculous when you've been stuck on your tummy for 10 days.
Tossing in some 10 Day photos of my rear to show the high set of the implants for future self reference/reflection.
I also wanted to add, since I could never really find this answer, that the implants don't feel really like anything but weight.
I can't feel the outline (which likely has everything to do with intramuscular placement), I can't even really tell where they begin or end. This is great news because that was a big worry of mine going in.
It honestly just feels like firm muscle (sitting high at the moment, of course). What a relief.
Drain should come out tomorrow. It's producing basically nothing at this point.
Now just to get to a point where sitting is allowed.

9 Days Post Op Butt Implants

The first 4 days seemed exhausting, but after that, it's honestly been much simpler than I had thought. Pain is manageable and honestly, it's less pain than it is just muscle soreness.
Drains came out day 4 and weren't producing much.
I had a little more of a hard time with my right side as the muscle seemed tighter, so when walking, that was where I was stiff.
By day 6 I was almost walking normal to a point where you wouldn't know I'd had any procedure done. Slower than normal, but no hobbling.
On day 7, around midnight, I had a small lump form at the incision line and it became painful. Within an hour it had swelled larger and the pain was significantly increasing.
I called Doctor Olson at 1am and he had me meet him at his office immediately so he could look at what was going on.
We made the decision to go to the hospital and drain the growing issue. It turned out to be a Hematoma, which from what I understand is a broken capillary and collection of fluid under the skin. This is apparently rare and can happen, but all in all, the moment it was drained I felt perfectly normal. He informed me that it did not impact my progress healing and that it had nothing to do with the implant. That was good news!
I have a new drain but where he hematoma was drained was along the original incision line so you can't tell anything even took place.
I'm happy to hang with a drain for a bit longer to ensure all progresses smoothly.
We are now on Day 9. I am off pain meds (and have been for quite a few days). Tylenol covers any discomfort from stiffness and I can walk like a human being, albeit not for long periods, but hey. Not hobbling.
This is honestly much easier a recovery than I had anticipated.
Does laying on your stomach in lieu of sitting get old? Yes. It certainly does. Right now it's stand up or lay on your belly and that can get uncomfortable but if you're not willing to go through a couple weeks of recovery, this isn't the procedure for you. No pain, no gain.
Implants are obviously still sitting high, but seeing them drop is a reward you wait for. I'm willing to deal with a square butt for a bit, knowing that once they drop, they will look great.
So far I am happy with the fact that we went with a 375cc round implant. I was really thinking they wouldn't give the shape I wanted, but even without them dropping, I really believe that I'll be happy with this size. The goal was NATURAL. I didn't want anything that could be spotted easily because I'm just not that type. I was only interested in a natural looking behind that gave me proportion and shape. So far, I feel like Dr. Olson made the right decision and I'm glad I trusted him.

4 Days Post Op

Sleeping on your stomach is a challenge but I think I've beat it. My husband likes to make jokes about the amount of throw pillows I own, but piling the up for my upper torso has proven to be a solution to all of this. Regardless, my lower back is always in a state of discomfort and I have the "growing pains" type of aching in my hip joints almost regularly.  My right implant feels like it's in a vice grip while my left feels much looser and relaxed.  Walking is comedic, but possible and in all reality, helps me when I'm really in pain. I walk in circles like an 11 month old but it sure does the trick.  I will be honest, there have been a handful of times where tears appeared and I asked why I did this. That was mostly when the exparel wore off. I normally have no problem refusing pain pills, but they run a tight schedule here with this procedure. I know when they're letting up and it's not pretty.  THE LOOK: So Dr. O went with 375cc Round implants placed intramuscularly. Imagine a stuffed chicken breast, and there you have it.  Just before putting me under he said "I think you'll have wished I'd gone bigger" which sent me into sleepy time with a frown, but from what I can see, I will have a very natural aesthetically pleasing final product, which was the goal.  They don't feel hard.... in fact I can't feel them much at all. The swelling is definitely masking that side of things.  Additionally, he took 200cc's of my own fat to pad the lower portion of each implant to hide any visibility of it, since I was working with so little.  Today is my follow-up and I'm crossing my fingers that we can get these drains out. They're definitely not bothering me, but one step in the direction of recovery will call for confetti.  Obviously they're sitting super high, and will drop in time. I'm very much looking forward to that day. I have spongebob square butt happening at the moment and it's beating up my confidence. Not really but what's wrong with a little humor? This is a rough procedure, folks, and I'm no pansy with pain. I've had a full 360 body lift along with muscle repair and it didn't touch this recovery with a toothpick.  I'll post pics that I have. Not sure if it'll be anything worth gazing at but I want to be helpful.
