Hi you look wonderful. I had an arm lift first week of Jan. So I'm at 5 months. I'm nervous about wearing sleeveless as I don't want to accidentally lift my arm and have everyone know or ask questions. My scars are slowly fading. After a shower they are more noticible. Do people ask you? I haven't posted any pics in months. I'm still wearing 3/4 sleeves.

I kept mine covered for the first year. I either wore 3/4 sleeves, or in the heat of summer, I wore makeup on my scars. I was so worried about what people would say. This summer, I decided that I don't care anymore. I've been wearing tanks, and short sleeves. I have not had anyone ask me about the scars. If they do, I'll just tell them what they are. I'm not ashamed. I'm proud! Of course, it took me awhile to get to this point. If you look at my comments from last year, you will see how worried I was about what people would say. I've just come to realize that I don't care what others say or think about me. Good luck to you!

Thanks, I guess I just have to get there. I have been putting Mederma Scar gel on the scars just in case it might help. Thanks for getting back.

Your arms look great. I hate my scars as they have keloid. I understand how you feel. I told myself surgery scars or the lunch lady arms?
July 6, 2017
Definitely!

I know it's been a few years and I'm grateful you still post post op photos! I hate my arm and I wish mine looked like yours PRE OP. I heard this surgery was tough. And I don't want a really visible scar but you look great. I've got to go back and read your journey. Thank you for posting and keeping it updated. Congratulations on doing for you and looking great doing it

18 months post Arm Lift - Update with Pictures

deb1125
I am wearing tank tops, which is something I never did before the surgery! I'm very happy with the results. I'm not loving the scars, but my doctor says they are still healing. The lower part of each scar is still pretty pink (doesn't really show in the pictures). However, I have no regrets at all!

Think about getting laser on those remaining scars. It'll take out the pink. I think its a Q switch laser.

Thanks! I'll look into that!

Your arms look great! You must be very happy....I had my arms done around the same time as you did & my scars are still quite pink. I use a product called F/X to conceal the scars & it is great. I still feel self conscious so I don't go without covering the scars if I'm wearing sleeveless tops. I'm hoping that the scars eventually fade but I have no regrets...

10 Month Update

deb1125
It has been 10 months. I have been thrilled with the results. I've worn tank tops all summer and that is a first for me! However, I am still not happy about the scars. I expected scars, but they are still quite red, large and bumpy. The dr says they will still heal. I have been wearing make-up on them. Here are a couple pictures. My armpits have healed great, the scars are white and not very noticeable.

Thanks! The scars in my armpit are white, but the ones near my elbow are still very red and quite wide.

Thanks for posting and letting me see and understand what Ive got coming up Oct 18th. I am going to see the PS and Im wondering in hindsight is you should have asked him or requested any changes that should have been considered after the fact. I have made the decision that I am going for IPL after Ive healed to minimize and redness etc. Thanks solo much for sharing. I think they look great! Any post op suggestions too. FYI I am terrified of the postop pain and nerve sensations. Thanks, Vicki

HI Vicki,
I wish that I had asked from more skin to be removed from below my armpit (instead of stopping at my armpit. That is the only regret I have. The pain wasn't as bad as I had expected it to me. You won't regret it!

Hi Deb- so if Im understanding- You wish that that armpit incision was extended down alongside your breast/side? Isn't your side boob in the way of an extended incision????
September 19, 2016
I don't even know if that was an option, but yes, I would have liked the incision to have gone down about two inches down my side. I hate the pooch of fat in the crease of my arm.
