Scheduled lower facelift - I’m real excited!

3 week update

I’m into my 3rd week post op.. I decided to wait until I healed some before posting any updates with photos. I still have some tough areas from the chemical peel that are being stubborn. Recovering from the chemical peel has been challenging to say the least. I want to wait until I have fully recovered and healed from all procedures I had done before posting pics... I’ve continued to take photos each day and can’t wait to get completely healed and back to myself!

Hi!! How’s the swelling?! I’m Day 8 and still going up and down with swelling. I swell a lot when I chew (even no sodium items). Dr H did a great job, I just want to be healed! NOW! Lol
Hey brightha... I'm still having a hard time with swelling and recovering... I've had some issues with the chemical peel. I've decided to wait until I'm completely heeled before posting any pics to be fair. I'm continuing to take pics and will post them all once I have heeled enough to talk about my journey... how are u doing??! How's your swelling?? How's your scars around your ears front and back... can you send me some pictures so I can have some comparison..

Also plan to document once I get further into the healing process. Dr. H has been great. Patience is not a virtue of mine, lol.

Hi gwdolyn. I am consider in a chemical peel with Dr H while my hubby is there for a lower facelift. I am reading between the lines that you may have had some complications from the peel. Do you have any advice for me? Thanks and I really appreciate you sharing your thoughts. You could also DM me if that feels more appropriate.
How's it going now? I also plan on the peel when I have my facelift. That's the part I worry about more than anything.

Hey brightha was wondering if you are happy With your results I also had lipo to my neck in 2016 & ended up with loose skin that seems to have gotten progressively worse over time I'm so close too pulling the trigger on dr h I am a lil nervous about the scars & I'm only 39 but the lipo really screwed me I feel as if I don't do something now my neck will only get worse and I'm already super self conscious about it I really hate it, it was a add on to my tummy tuck cheep for 250$ but far from Worth it probley worst thing I cold have done
Have you seen Dr H? Sorry to hear you went through so much I know that removing fat from the neck is a major no-no because it causes aging and loose skin and sagging skin
Just wondering how you are healing from your lift and peel. I had my consultation in February and just tried to call his office to schedule for mid-September hopefully. It went to voicemail so they may have had to shut down for the virus? I'm hoping not! I plan on the face/neck lift, upper and lower eyes, and chemical peel. Also, did you stay alone or have someone with you? I'll be alone so I'm thinking about hiring for a 24-hour nurse to stay with me.

Update Day 5

On day 5 post-op ... it’s not as bad as it looks... still shedding old skin on my way to looking better. Don’t have much pain at all. Feeling coming back to my ears slowly. Can’t wait to get these stitches out!

lol... don't think I look 20... more like someone that had their face tortured with some chemicals!! lol.. can't wait till my face is finished peeling! I'm sure it will take a couple more weeks. Scheduled to get my stitches out tomorrow, so I will post an update tomorrow .

DAY 3

So I’m on day 3 and these pics are not the worse... they are actually the better ones out of all that I have taken the last few days. The ozzing is done and some swelling has gone down... now it’s time to start shedding! Waiting on all this dark dead skin on my forehead to peel! I will have to admit that having a chemical peel on top of a lower lift has been challenging to say the least! I also had some fillers, so I got what I’m going to call “The Works”! So today I’m finally feeling a little better.. I get to take a shower..YaY!

You look relaxed on day 3 gwdolyn, do you feel any pain from the chemical peel?
Good morning pearlyqueen...my pain level wasn't as great as the discomfort to be honest. I kept up with rotating col gel mask to keep the heat on my face down and with my pain meds through the swelling. You read a lot of people saying if you can make it through day 3 it's all good... and they are right. Now I have a lot of peeling and I keep Aquafora on my face. I'm on day 5 now. I have a lot of swelling under my neck right now.. my stitches will be removed on day seven.. so I'm very interested to see how it all looks. Still have a long road ahead of me!! Thanks for asking!!!
