**I know and you should know everyone heals differently. Obviously, don't take my review as gospel. I had a great experience but not everyone does. Do your research and be aware of the risks and the healing time**
I think this will be my final LL update, unless I feel like doing one last one at the one year mark. I'm currently 6 months post op and I'm extremely happy with my results!
I have NEVER had tooth show in my life and I always hated my smile. While I only have a sliver of tooth show now, it's more than I've ever had. Trust me, I had literally none before, my teeth were completely covered with my top lip. Sadly because of my anatomy I'll never have a good amount of tooth show unless I get veneers which I don't want, but again, it's the best I could have hoped for. I love my smile now and I feel like I look a lot better making different expressions than I did before.
Let's talk about nostrils. I don't think this happens to everyone, but yes you do risk more nostril flare with this procedure. MAYBE it's residual swelling as it hasn't been a full year yet, but just a fair warning. I didn't notice more flare between my 1st LL and this revision, however my nostrils were definitely slightly less flared before I had any LL's as you can see in my photos. It's not a huge difference in my opinion and it shows more in photos than in person, but please keep this in mind before you get this procedure done.
That being said, before I did this procedure I was already intent on getting a rhinoplasty revision (next week!) to reduce my bridge, tip, and nostrils, so ultimately I didn't personally care. It was worth it for more tooth show and finally loving my smile.
I also am in love with the new shape of my lips. Lipstick finally looks decent on me! My lips look a lil bigger and I didn't have to use filler! Some people's lips don't end up looking bigger so don't expect that from a lip lift, but for me because of my anatomy I do have more top lip now.
I can speak, eat, and make any expresssion now with no discomfort. There is still some mild tightness but it's so mild I barely notice it anymore. I feel like I still have some minor swelling that comes and goes. The scar looks good, it's more red on some days than others but when it's not red, it's almost invisible which is comforting as it won't stay red forever.
I think that's all I wanted to say. I'm going to have rhinoplasty revision next week so I'll probably start another review soon for that. Anyway, thank you for joining me on this journey, I have no regrets and I'm incredibly happy with my results.

2 month post op
Per a request in the comments, I'm posting some GIFs of how much a can move my mouth after surgery (hopefully they work.) I'm still a little stiff, but that's to be expected at 2 months. Healing time for this and most cosmetic procedures is 6 months to a year so I've still got a ways to go. That being said, I have like 90% of my ability to move my mouth back which is enough to look pretty much normal to most people.
I'll post a more detailed update at my 3 month mark but I hope these GIFs are helpful! If they work that is lol...

1 Month Post LL Revision
Sorry I took a while to update, things have been hectic in my personal life and I really wanted to do a thorough update with decent pics.
It has been 1 month since my revision LL surgery! It's looking better and better as time goes on. My swelling still kind of comes and goes and based on my diet and how much I sleep, I have some bad face days due to that residual swelling, but that's how it goes with any surgical procedure. Some days I have more tooth show than others for this reason too.
The scar is slightly visible and red but it's a very thin line that will fade in time so I'm not worried about that, especially since it's already better than my scar from my first LL with a different surgeon. People are impressed with how well it's healing when I show them! They usually don't notice until i point it out too, so that's awesome. I started my scar cream about a week ago.
Friends and family notice that I look different but people who don't know me as well just think I look prettier but can't tell why lol! I really do feel a lot prettier, I feel like having tooth show has greatly improved my face and I feel way more photogenic. It was awful to have no tooth show before!
Apart from my tooth show, my overall proportions are so much better and my top lip definitely does look fuller. I still can't 100% say if the fullness will stay the same because of residual swelling but I don't mind either way since my main concern was tooth show.
I can't smile normally yet, but based on my experience from my first LL I expect that I'll be mostly normal by month 2. I can do small smiles and slowly more expressions but it still feels tight and looks off if I laugh. Everyone heals differently of course but that's my experience. Also, from my first LL, my smile was 100% normal by month 3 or 4.
I'm terrified of dropping or stetching...fingers crossed!! I really love where I'm at right now and I really hope it doesn't change too much as I keep healing.
Overall, at this point 1 month post-op, I'm still extremely happy with my results (tooth show still going strong!! Was worried it would disappear somehow...) It just keeps getting better as I continue on this healing process and I'm so glad I went to Dr. Mascaro for it :) If I missed anything, feel free to ask questions in the comments! I'll post another update at 3 months post :)
