A tricky case - it has really improved my pain

I went to Dr. Ort for a scar revision. My initial procedure with another doctor left me with a painful scar.

I had consulted with so many surgeons prior to meeting with Dr. Ort and they all turned me away. I felt as though they did not try to see where I was coming from.

Dr. Ort took the time to listen and understand what I was struggling with. I explained that my scar caused me pain, lowered my self-esteem, and got in the way of my daily life. She was empathetic and very honest with me throughout the consultation process. I went through with the scar revision procedure with Dr. Ort and it has really improved my pain.

Dr. Ort is a rarity in medicine because she's really on your team. From this entire process, I realized that fixing another surgeon's problem is not something many doctors feel inclined to do. There are numerous unknown factors but Dr. Ort has the knowledge, skill, and confidence to approach tricky cases such as mine. I am really really grateful to Dr. Ort for helping me find solutions rather than turning me away.
