Dr. Rankin changed my life. I’m not a breast implant patient, nor am I an explant patient. I was a young girl with melanoma on my arm. I was fortunate to find the best plastic surgeon in the world to save my arm (from a surgeon who wanted to slaughter my arm). Dr. Rankin’s second opinion not only saved my arm from an additional 12” incisions down my arm, he was the one who made me aware the importance of clear margins. He was amazing - views the reports, observes patiently, and the bedside manner and care during the process is unforgettable- it’s people like this is the world we could never give back in good measure. I’ve still followed and kept in touch during these years, as his work is not only significant to me but now specializing in explants only, sharing the same hope and health I feel in ways.
