3 wk. 3 days post op

I started to notice some swelling yesterday for the first time. I have been doing a lot. Cleaning and cooking and buying groceries and lifting more. I also am trying not to wear my binder as much. I still wear my cg all the time. Drs. Office said try to start wearing them only half the time, but if I start to swell i should put them back on. I've decided to take it easy for a couple of days and see if the swelling goes down some. It's not bothersome, but I just want to see if it goes down with less activity. I honestly have zero complaints at this point. A couple of areas get sore on occasion from lipo. I am 100% satisfied with what my doctor has done for me. He is an amazing man and a perfectionist at what he does. I have been trying my best to avoid sneezing at all costs because I will never forget how bad it hurt when I had a coughing spell at the end of my 1st week. Today, however, I have sneezed twice and it doesn't hurt. Thank goodness! I went shopping Wednesday after my po appt. and bought a new bra as instructed at my visit. I filled a C and could maybe even wear a D. I was a full A maybe B (depending on the bra) after my breast reduction in aug. 2012. I'm so happy with my implants. They make me look much fuller at the top of my breast. It's so weird to feel them touching the inside of my upper arms when I'm driving or eating etc. I have to do exercises to move them around morning and night. Not crazy about that, but getting used to it. I can't express thru words how this has changed my life. It is amazing to look in the mirror. I cry sometimes when I see myself in the mirror. My husband says that I don't even look like the same person. He said the other day, "I see the way men look at you now, and I don't like it." That made me feel so good. I have noticed how guys look at me now, but I didn't think he had noticed....I was wrong. I had two c-sects almost 20 years ago and I feel like I have been given a new beginning. This is amazing! I'm hoping to take the whole family on a Christmas cruise in December. I've never been on a cruise but the new me is ready to go. I'm going to post a side by side before and after with this update. I took this pic right before I went into the OR and the other is at 2 weeks po. SHOCKER!!!!!!!

Drain removal....best day yet!

WoW! I feel so good. Went in for po visit. Told doc how HAPPY I am with what he has done for me. He has truly changed my life. He answered a couple of questions and then the nurse who helped during my surgery and stayed with me in the recovery room that night came in. She started pulling tape from my incisions and putting on new tape and I told her to let me know when she was ready to take the two remaining drains out so I could get ready and she said they're already out and I didn't believe it, but yeah they were gone. My mom was there and she told me later that she pulled em at the same time. No worms or pin stick sensations this time. I cannot tell you what a difference it makes to get rid of those. I am 9 dpo. I am so happy to be free of those drains. I love my surgeon and his entire staff. They are all great. I can remember being pre op and reading posts on here of ppl who were 10 days post op and wishing that I was pod 10. Well guess what NO pain NO gain & ya gotta PAY TO PLAY, but it was worth all the TIME and every DIME. All of you girls who are waiting for your turn I know how that feels, but nothing feels like coming home and putting on a tight t-shirt after drain removal and not having to pull and fix it constantly to hide a fat stomach. Call me One Happy Girl.!!!!!!!

Drain removal. Sorry to double post but I meant to put it on my profile.

Got one drain out yesterday. Asked if it was going to hurt and she said she had been told she was very gentle by many. She cut the drain tube off about 8" from the entrance. She applied beta dine and cut the stitches. She said I'm going to ask you to take a deep breath so I did. She said I will know you're ready the next time you take a deep breath and as you blow out slowly I will have it out within 3 seconds. I loved the way she did that....telling me she was ready and she would know I was ready when I took the deep breath....I took the deep breath and blew it out and looked at her like why didn't you pull it out???she said, "it's out". I was like...you're kidding me right? She said nope it's gone. I did not feel a thing. When I stood up I felt like a worm was crawling down my side for just a minute...but it felt good actually because I knew it was probably where the drain had been and I felt a few like pin sticks going on but not painful sticks. She said that was all just maybe a nerve that the drain came in contact with on the way out. I am not afraid to get these other two out, hopefully this Thursday, because I absolutely did not feel a thing at drain removal.
