I've always been told "you look tired" and I agreed. When I heard of filler to help with the troughs, I decided to try it. The technique my MD used was a blunt tipped catheter inserted in the apple of the cheek and threaded up to reach the under eye area then "fanned" the tip around as he injected. While not a pleasant experience, it was definitely tolerable. I immediately saw minor results, and had a lot a swelling for 2 days and absolutely no bruising. I'm on day 3 & the swelling is minimal. I'll add a photo 7 days out to get final result. He only used 1 syringe split between the two areas, so I'm not expecting anything drastic. From what he says, what you see when you leave the office is pretty much what it will be for the duration.

You do look refreshed and well-rested! Thank you for sharing your experience and your photos!

Interesting technique - did your doctor numb the cheek area? Do you need to go back in for a touch-up in a few weeks?

Yes, please share your 7-day photos! Love to see the results!

Thank you for your articulate description of the step-by-step process of the procedure. I' m sure the threading up from the cheek area and fanning out can only be accomplished successfully by a very experienced expert- kudos. Nothing more rejuvenating in a woman's face than a fresh eye without five or six bars of wrinkles to line it. I often find the contrast between a smooth (botoxed) forehead and a wrinkled eye jarring and am still looking for a convincing method to combat eye-area ageing without bruises that evoke embarrassing reactions from my environment... It appears the blunt tip of the needle prevents bruises- unlike my injection during a vampire lift under the eyes (among other areas), which resulted in a large under-eye bruise that took a week to turn yellow and disappear. Only few specialists realize how quickly they can produce bruises under the eyes with the wrong size needle or movement. In my case, aesthetic nurses have never caused them, plastic surgeons twice, due to more "enthusiastically" stabbing away at a sensitive area. Is the hand of a nurse aesthetician more delicate ?:)
