When doctor Finger met me for the first time he said you will get the best bang for you buck with a eyelid surgery. I regret to say that having this surgery was one of worst mistakes of my life. After the surgery my eyes did not close all the way and over the past year my vision has become poor and my eyes are very dry and painful. My body has tried to adjust and close the gap between my eyelids. Before the surgery I had very little or no lines on my forehead and now I have a mass of lines on my forehead between my eyes, my eyes slope down at the corners, they are dark around them, have bags under them,my eyelashes point down and the natural crease of my eyelid is gone. Mascara, makeup and skin creams cause my eyes to burn. I feel like I look bad and my eyes look sick. Disappointed does not even start to describe how I feel. The eyes are supposed to be the focal point of the face and my eyes look bad. This has caused me a great bit of depression and sadness. I wonder if this review will make it to the publication or if it will be stoped by the doctor or office staff. If you are thinking of having this surgery you should find a oculoplastic surgeon. Some parts of my experience with Dr Finger deserve a better review but this review is about my eyes so I must give a poor rating. I can not provide before and after photos because many of my photos on my computer were lost due to bug or something. When I look in the mirrow my heart sinks.

So sorry that this happened. Not sure if you even want to think about more surgery but a reconstructive plastic surgeon might be able to help. They work with patients that have had horrible facial injuries, burns, resulting scars etc. I used one for my upper eye lift. I had the surgery the first time when I was about 28...not only do my eyelids droop but the lashes turn inward toward and damage the corneas. You can see it in my pics as a kid. Same with my one brother. Surgeon told me the 2nd surgery had less skin to work with in the area between the brow and the lashes and I would not have the "open" eye look as much as the first surgery did. Also, as you age brows lower and one of mine was noticeably lower than the other. Eye-lift would not correct this..only a brow lift would. He did not act too enthused about that and I didn't do it. I am able to compensate with eyebrow pencil. The only problem with this lift is that my eye lashes do not seem to stay curled like they did before! He said he has never had anyone tell him that. I had taken pics with me and he agreed but had no thoughts as to why. I posted that on here in "ask the MD" but the only reply said maybe the surgeon did not use a certain technique..I had forgotten to post that he did use it. So that was not the answer either. I now curl them, put on mascara immediately, do rest of makeup, get dressed and recurl and more mascara...they still do not stay curled all day or all evening. Good luck. So disappointing to spend the money and then feel worse off than before surgery.

Thank you, Alexie. I am sorry for your trouble. I would like to have another procedure done if it could correct the issues I am having now although I do not know what could help. I do not have the funds at this time, but hopefully in the future I will be able to afford a corrective surgery. Thank you for your kind feedback; it is very much appreciated.
