I have noticed that I am certainly moving around totally normal. My abs from the repair still hurt if I sneeze or cough. All my scans are gone and I am still using my scar gel then covering once dry the silicone tape. My breasts have healed nicely also and I cannot believe how soft they are in comparison to the tear drop cohesive gel ones I had previously. I’m super thrilled!!
I am going to get a lymphatic massage soon. As for swelling, I have read that many women have experienced swelling - and drastic swelling, I have NOT. I wear my Faja garment that has a built in bra and extends to my mid thighs full time. The one I have had little eyelit clasps then a zipper over top and it runs up my side. It is super comfy and very compressive. I have 3 that I alternate. I am going to buy another one in a smaller size because I believe from wearing it for 5 weeks my waist is getting smaller (like a waist trainer) I only take it off for showers. I still have not had a bath yet as I have not seen my surgeon yet. I have done only a couple Peloton low impact bike rides and walked for exercise. I am hoping that next week when I see my surgeon I get the green light to resume exercise and take a bath. I’ve missed those!!! Will update again after I see my surgeon.

Three weeks post --Mommy makeover (BA/TT/Lipo)

Gotta say, I’m feeling really great! Haven’t taken any pain meds since day 6. Still doing protein shakes with collagen, pineapple, MCT oil and greens. Likely indulging on leftover Christmas chocolates more than I should be and I cannot wait to get back to exercising. Started walking on the treadmill yesterday. Too cold to walk outside in northern Canada. -45 Celsius with windchill. Trying to do 30 mins a day on the treadmill slow walking just to move. I do find I swell up a bit by the end of the day near my pubic bone so have to put my feet up I find. I’ve been wearing my faja compression garment except to shower. I’m glad I took 3 weeks off work so I have lots of time to relax. I could have gone back to work this past week but I am glad to be off still as I do feel less motivated and less ambitious than normal. I’m also taking a multivitamin along with bromine and turmeric supplements. All my bruising has disappeared and my scabs are healing nicely. Feeling very happy with my results.

Looking great! When did start straightening out ? I'm only 3 dpo and my back sometimes kills me.

I was pretty hunched over for a good 8 -10 days. Just approaching 4 weeks and I feel still slightly slumped over. I have been practicing standing up against a wall a few times during the day to practice. Give yourself time. Keep hunched over as you need to only do what your body will allow at this time. You don’t want to stretch your sutures or blow a stitch. Good luck.

Oh and keep up with your pain meds!!!! I religiously took them as prescribed for the first few days. Then switched to Tylenol extra strength for 2 more days then stopped completely. Are you sleeping in a reclined position?

Thank you. It's frustrating being in that position but I'd rather stay hunched alittle longer than straighten out and cause another issue. I thinking coughing is the worst.

You look amazing!!! Congrats! I have a question about your drain- did you pin it to your clothes? I have my upcoming tt on the 27th and am anxious about the drains!

Bring a lanyard with you for showering. Mine pinned to my binder that I wore 24/7. I was happy to cover my tummy with a soft gauze abdominal compress I wore against my skin under the binder. My drains were taken out on day 8. Was so glad when they came out. Just gross and awkward. I felt quite vulnerable when I had them. Once gone I felt so much more me!!

I think the back pain was the worse part. Had a slight hunch for about a month. Doctor reassured me I would be ok to straightened out despite the feeling or sensation I would rip, he was so right! Every day I tried to straighten up and I was eventually able to do so. Back pain slowly disappeared as I started straightening out. I would say I was good by 2.5 weeks.

Intracapsular ruptures of both implants
Modest2010January 2, 2022
18 year old tear dropped, textured, cohesive gel implants both ruptured. This MRI is taken from my feet pointed up towards my head showing the deformed implants. Left side had given me pain for the last few years intermittently. FDA recalled these implants in 2019 and my Dr retired years ago.
