10 days post op, yay! :)

Drains are out! I had them removed on Friday, it just feels so much better... I didn't even feel it when she removed them. I've had a good amount of energy for the past 3 days... my breasts are still quite tender, but improving every day... I've made peace and appreciate my new/old small breast. I am so happy that I did this, absolutely no regrets at all!

Day 5 post op

Hey ladies, five days, and have been feeling pretty good... I'm a little tired today, but since the day after my operation I haven't been napping during the day, but have been resting through the day anyway... Cuz I think I should ;) my pain is very minimal, the drains are the most annoying part for me, but I do know that they are serving a very important purpose in my healing process... Hopefully will have them taken out on Friday. My poor boobies are still not looking amazing, like I said to another friend on here earlier, we aren't meant to have perfect boobs forever, so I will focus on being fit and healthy and be much kinder to myself... I will have to remind myself of that when I don't fit things the way I used to... Hugs to you all. :)

Day 2 post op

Well this is fun , haha not so much, but manageable. My day of surgery went well, got to the surgery centre at 7:15, got admitted. I kissed my husband goodbye... then changed into my luxurious hospital gown slippers and hat :) I had a very sweet nurse helping me out, then met with my surgeon and anesthesiologist... After my iv was put in I walked over to the operating room, and layed on the table/bed. My legs were shaking, I was nervous... I then felt warm and tired, must have been out in about 20 seconds...then I was waking up in recovery, I couldn't stop the tears, some people are grumpy (the guy next to me) when waking up, I cry, lol...after resting for a while my nurse got me up and into a chair... it took a while to shake the cobwebs out. I didn't have very much pain. She showed us how to empty my drains.. And off we went... All together I was probably there for about 4 1/2 hours... My ride home was a little uncomfortable stopped and picked up my prescription. Then got home and carefully crawled into bed... I slept petty well my first night, i only woke up a few times... My pain has been very manageable so far, I took three painkillers yesterday and none yet today, so I think that is awesome, hopefully that keeps up... As for my poor boobs... I saw them today, they were pretty sad, and tiny, and shrivelled after being squished in the surgical bra... My husband helped me take it off, it was hard for me to let him look... But he is so sweet and loving... And made me feel ok, we even carefully made love, I know that is crazy... But I'm not the first to do that so soon. :) (40 and about to be free) love to you all,
