I have terrible under eye bags, hereditary:/. Over the past five years they have gotten drastically worse. I feel over time the bags will become more pronounced. I researched doctors and treatments for over three years. I'm excited to be going in for surgery tomorrow. I'll post more photos after the procedure:)

Surgery went well. Dr. Derby and staff were all very comforting, which helped immensely with my pre op nervousness. Discomfort has been very minimal. Icing and arnica seem to be helping with the healing. Went for post opp today and Dr. Derby said everything looks good :)

Hope you get a great outcome and hope your healing goes smoothly! I want to do my lower lids but very nervous. Do you happen to know if your doc removed or repositioned fat, did he perform a canthopexy? Thanks for any info you can provide!

I'm horrible with the medical lingo, but here goes- transconjunctival with some fat repositioning taken from my upper thigh. I'm not sure about canthopexy... I'll post more progress pictures.

Thanks! I think if fat is taken from another part of the body it is a fat transfer versus fat repositioning.

How are you feeling? Did you have iv sedation? I'm doing my lowers on 7/5. Getting super nervous!! All in all, you look not bad at all for 2 days post!

Still feel okay, mainly bored. The swelling and bruising seems to be about the same as yesterday. I'm not in any real discomfort, just a little dry eyes. The drops and ice help with any minor irritation. Overall I think it looks a lot worse that it feels.

Hi, glad you're feeling well. Do you have stitches on the outside of lower eyes? It looks like you do from pictures?
June 24, 2017
Yes, they pinched a little of the lower eyelid to get rid of the saggy skin. They should not be noticeable when healed.

Oh, okay. Are you more swollen in the Morning? When you had the iv sedation, were you totally "asleep?"
June 24, 2017
I was TOTALLY asleep! My husband was with me and all I remember is the nurse saying "I'm putting a sedative in the IV" then I was OUT! I've been sleeping elevated so I think that has helped with the swelling. I literally can't find a before picture when I wasn't wearing sunglasses.
