I'll start with the bad. I didn't get to meet Dr....

I'll start with the bad. I didn't get to meet Dr. Lacerna until the day of my surgery because my date got pushed back and I came from out of state. I was okay with this though because she had to do reconstructive surgery on a cancer patient. After my surgery I woke up in an immense amount of pain. I was told by one of her nurses to suck it up and stop crying because she was trying to get me out of the clinic. I was going in and out of conciousness but I do remember her looking exhausted, leaning over on the rail from time to time on the bed as if she were extremely tired from trying to get my garments on so she was probably frustrated and took it out on me telling me to suck it up because I was crying. I didn't even know what was going on because I was still loopy being fresh out of surgery and felt like I was being forced to leave in a hurry. That night the pain was excruciating and the pain medicine wasn't working so I called the "on call" number several times but never received a call back. I told Dr. Lacerna that I called but she said she never got a call and she was the one that had the emergency on call phone. my mom and I both did this several times but got no answer. It was late and she was probably sleeping or out on the town and didn't hear the phone because I called the office number, listened to the prompts and pressed the number to leave a message for the on call phone. I ended up having to call 911 for an ambulance to take me to the emergency room because I literally felt like I was dying. there was little the hospital could do but they did give me pain medicine so that I could finally calm down and sleep a little bit. The next day when my mom and I went back to the clinic for the post op check in we saw the nurse who told me to suck it up. My mom questioned her about it but she of course denied it and said she would never say anything like that. I just let it go because I was done looking at her. I am still irritated at the fact that my "several" calls to the on-call emergency phone went unanswered and I ended up in the emergency room. I felt like I wasn't a priority which is sad but now I'll get to the good.
Its been about 3 weeks since my surgery and the pain is almost gone. not being able to sit for a full month is driving me crazy but I'm a stay at home mom so I'm able to lay down throughout the day.
Despite not answering my calls, Dr. Lacerna is a very nice woman. The results so far are beautiful and I love what she did.
Dr. Lacerna is very talented. I didn't think she could get my body this way. I look like a different person in a good way. I love the hourglass shape she's given me and I am retaining most of the fat grafts so my butt is still round and plump looking. The price wasn't bad either compared to other prices out there like Dr. Jimerson in Atlanta whom I wanted to originally see but he wasn't available until 2016 I would say she's almost just as good as him. Her office is beautiful the clinic is really nice and calming Sarah is a godsend she is seriously one of the nicest people I've ever met. If you decide to go with Dr. Lacerna I'm sure you will meet Sarah and you will see what I'm talking about, she's lovely and will answer your questions without the "fluff" in which I mean she is real and down to earth and genuinely cares. Keisha the scrub nurse was also super sweet. She was funny and took her time getting me acquainted. The new anesthesiologist is an Angel. She was very nurturing and made me feel relaxed before my surgery. There was something about her that was Angelic.
If you get her, you will be in good hands.
Dr. Lacerna is lucky to have such an amazing group of women work for her. If it weren't for those three women, this review wouldn't be so great.
Overall I am happy so far. Would I do this again? Probably not. I don't think I could take the pain. Everyone is different though so if you want an hourglass shape, Kim Kardashian style then you should go for it.
I'll give you a few tips if you are coming from out of town. Try to stay at least a full 9 days the longer the better obviously. When you fly get a Boppy pillow those kind of pillows that are shaped like a U and are used by women who breastfeed. When you get on the plane put the pillow under your thighs directly below your butt and try to have another small pillow behind your back. I had a first class seat in the very first row in the isle and it was still a challenge. The flight attendants said I could stand so that's exactly what I did for most of the flight. Whatever you do just try to keep yourself elevated to prevent putting pressure on your butt.
Good luck!
