Hello RealSelf Family,
I had been stalking this website for a couple of years dreaming about the day that I too would be able to get a BBL. Well that day finally came for me on June 23, 2014 and believe me, this had been the single best thing I have done for myself in years. I searched high and low for the best doctor I could find and decided to go with LA Plastic Surgery in Sarasota, FL. Dr. Lacerna-Kimbrell proved to be a winner and turned my frown upside down. Now whenever I look in the mirror, I am so pleased with what I see. My waist to hip ratio is insane. I actually had fun shopping for clothes recently and showing off my new "Badonka-Donk". My husband LOVES it and so do I. Every time I walk by him, he's saying, "Damn girl"..LOL Seriously, I would encourage anyone to get this surgery if you're healthy and this is what you really want. Do your research though because not all Dr(s) are the same. Trust me, Dr. Lacerna was not my only consultation.
In my pictures, I still had some bruising on my thighs and swelling in my butt. My butt is a little smaller now but its still protruding nicely and I have an hour glass figure.

I like to wear the same underwear when posting pictures in order to get a comparison ( washed in between of course…LOL)

Wonderful before and afters! Pictures speak a 1000 words! I live near Bradenton and would love to be closer to home bc although Miami is in the same state, the hotel is another 1k or more! I may go check her out since she is close to me:) what was the deposit requirement to hold your surgery price and date, if you don't mind me asking?

The consultation was free. I was required to pay a $500 deposit when I booked my surgery date. My surgery was performed on June 23, 2014. I understand what you mean about all of the extra cost related to traveling for surgery. By the time you calculate hotel, food, transportation and not to mention comfort level when traveling back home…..after all, once you have a bbl you're not supposed to sit on your butt for at least 21 days. Don't hesitate to ask all of the questions you want. Good luck in your search….by the way, she has more pictures of her work in her office. Take care.

After the 21 days were u allowed by dr to sit for long periods of time? I have a 12 hr shift and it is mostly in a car the whole time.

Yes, I could sit after 21 days. I recommend that you sit on a Boppy or donut pillow so that you're not putting pressure on your bottom for that long. It's doable.

I wanted to add updated pictures so you could see what this looks like with clothes on…lol. Hubby and I celebrated our anniversary this past weekend and partied like it was 1999!!!! I swear to you, this surgery has changed my life! I am sooooooo happy I did this for myself and my husband could not be happier.
