WORTH IT$500
I decided to hold off on updating until the swelling was completely gone so you could see what it looks like with the swelling gone. I am planning on seeing Bridgette again in a few weeks to get touched up where I feel I need more to add an extra little voluptuousness to my lips. =]

The pain and bruising and swelling are all gone now. &They've healed beautifully. I am definitely achieving what I'm aiming for. I am planning on buying another syringe in a few months.

Juvederm becomes very addictive same as Botox! =]

P.S. I do apologize for the sloppy lipstick in my photos....It's the end of the night. A little sleepy. =]

Bridgette always makes me feel excited, comfortable and confident when receiving Juvederm. She really listens to what you're wanting and what your goals are. She's very gentle and talks you through everything as she's working. I wouldn't trust anyone else aside from her with Juvederm or Botox.

Girl, you won't! &Remember Juvederm is somewhat like plastic surgery (recovery wise) your lips are going to appear WAAAAAAY bigger after you leave the office because the swelling will start to inflame. But as they're doing it you'll see in the mirror what they'll look like. Swelling will start maybe 45 minutes after you've got the injections. =]

Then deflate :/ lol. Got it.

September 27, 2014
No, lol. When they first get done and you see them in the chair THAT'S what it'll look like. But theeeeeeeeeeeen it's going to swell up triple the size and then a few days later it'll go back to what it looked like in the chair. &They ALWAYS set-up a follow up appointment with you so they can tweak a few adjustments for you here and there whatever it is you're not liking or if you think you need more on a certain part of the lip...Girl, don't stress. They will look beautiful! TRUST ME!

How long does it take for all the bruising to subside? Do you only use one syringe for top&bottom lip?
User Avatar
September 26, 2014
You just buy the syringe and then you decide how much of it you want used and where. If you like your results with almost a full syringe you can save the remainder because they store it for you and then you can go back and use the rest when you please. =] I always do a full syringe each session though. You can do a full syringe in just top, just bottom, or top or bottom...Depends on what you're aiming to look like. My first time I did full syringe in top and bottom, second I chose just top because my bottom lip is pretty full. As for the bruising, it shouldn't take more than 5 days to be invisible. But by day 3 you can hide it pretty good with makeup and if you wear a lipstick shade that matches your lips it'll be invisible to the eye ;-)

Very good advice, thanks. I am just going to do the top lip and as you said use a little and be conservative at first and save the rest for later or put into my nasolabial folds :) Thanks again :)

I think Juvederm will do you justice. It is a lot better product and it lasts longer. PROMISE. Because almost a year later my lips were STILL plump and full, I just crave more and more and more. =O

You look great!v Is it painful when they do the injections?
User Avatar
October 1, 2014
Thank you! =] It stings a little when they inject it in the lining of your lips if that's what you're wanting but if you're just plumping up and they stick to the "meaty" part of your lips....Doesn't hurt at all! Just a quick pinch feeling!

Day 2 After My Juvederm Injections (PHOTOS INCLUDED)

User Avatar
esummergirl
Today is DAY 2 after my Juvederm injections. I am starting to gently massage my lip every few hours. Not too much because I HONESTLY like the OVERFILLED look, if you massage them too much it lowers the Juvederm and smooths it out. I just like my lips more plump (If you've read my previous posts you should know this by now :) )

I have a breast augmentation tomorrow, so I didn't wear any makeup today because I've just been traveling. So, in these photos you will see how bruised they are looking today. It MORE bruised because the injections were mainly placed in the lining of my lip (to help give me that inverted look) versus getting most of the injection in the "meaty" part of lip where the bruising would be less visible.

Bridgette did say that the swelling and bruising will take about two full weeks to go down this time mainly because (again) I did a FULL syringe in the top lip. That's a lot of product at one time, but I'm okay with the swelling. I don't really feel uncomfortable or embarrassed in public with my lips like this because it's pretty obvious I got them done and I'm not one to hide my Juvederm.

I like to ice my lips for like 15 minutes before bed and when I wake up. But aside from that, I just use my eos lip balm and constantly stretch my lips out. :)

Hope my post is helping you all lovelies out there!

Girl I loveeeeee your lips and in one picture I could see some of your face your absolutely beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I really want Jevederm!!!! How long does it last?
User Avatar
September 18, 2014
YAYAYAYAYAY! :-) Juvederm lasts all the way up to 12mnths! It's so worth it and it's more beneficial the second time around if you get more while you have some left over :-) I decided to get them done while I'm under recovery for my BA because they are SWOLLEN. :)

YAYAYAYAY!!! :) I got my first syringe last December.&I still had a good amount in my lips.
September 18, 2014
Thanks for your comment, esummergirl. Your lips look gorgeous, and I bet you are too, seeing partially your face in the above pictures. :) Did you get any on the top lip itself? I see the injection sites being in the border only. I was wondering how pain differences were from the actual lip vs. the border, since I haven't gotten any in the actual lip "meaty" part. lol I'm wondering how long mine is supposed to last before I can go in for a touch-up. The vial expires in December 2014, and I just got mine done. =(
User Avatar
September 18, 2014
Of course lovely! :) &Thank you so much. :) I got a little in the "meaty" part of my top lip in the cupids bow and a little in the vermilion of the top lip. I mainly went with the lining this time because I really want the inverted over-pouty top lip. After the swelling drops when I go back to get my touch ups we will add a little to the bottom lip of the corners and center...to really give me the look I'm aiming for. I personally find the pain more painful in the lining versus the "meaty" part. You don't even feel it in the actual lip you just feel the Juvederm expanding. The lining hurts the most to me especially towards the lower half of my top lip. & Well, Juvederm lasts all the way up a year before the product starts to fade away. I personally suggest you get a touch-up before it fades away. I'm getting another full syringe in December of 2014. &Botox in mid-October. :) How recently was yours done?!
September 18, 2014
I just had mine done this Monday, 9/15/14. :P hehe. I definitely agree the border/lining is uncomfortable. I might come back end of November 2014 or very beginning of December, before the last bit expires. Maybe I'll be immune to the pain by then. lol Where are you getting Botox done? I'm 26 y/o, and I have considered it, but haven't asked my doctor about it yet. I'll definitely be following your progress, and touching bases with you on the Juvederm and Botox. :)
User Avatar
September 18, 2014
Yes, the lining is pretty painful. But it really gives you the results you're aiming for! I am loving my lips so far. I think the pain will never get easier lol, it's just so uncomfortable as they dig into your lip and maneuver it around. Beauty is pain. &Yeah, that'd be a great idea!!! Definitely get them redone before the rest of it expires. I'm 23, and she told me I don't need Botox but I get it in the temples of my face and mid/center forehead and she said she'll add some Botox to my top lip to really help give me that added volume I desire. Botox lasts for me up to 4-5 months and I love how it keeps my face nice and tight. Where are you considering your Botox?!

User Avatar

Thank you! They are healing very nicely. =] & Yes, lipstick stays on just perfectly for me. I think it just depends on the type of lips you have (drier, softer, etc) I exfoliate my lips every morning before I apply lipstick. XOXOXO.

GirLLL I'm about to do the research lol if you get it on Friday how will it be on Monday? I don't want to go to work looking crazy lmao Did it hurt? I have so many questions lol
User Avatar
September 26, 2014
LOL. ASK AWAY! That's why I post my reviews on here. =D If you do a full syrgine on top AND bottom lip it won't look as bad as mine did because I had a FULL SYRINGE IN JUST TOP LIP. But, if you get it done on Friday the swelling will be minor but I would definitely wear a lipstick that matches your natural lip color to work on Monday because you want to keep attention AWAY from your lips until the swelling goes down completely. I'd say by Wednesday the swelling and bruising should be pretty much invisible! I'm posting an update tonight or tomorrow on my lips look now. =] It feels like a little pinch, it is a bit more painful when they're putting the syringe in your lining where your skin and lip meets if that's what you want. Not everyone does that though. It feels like a tight little pinch (&I have a LOW tolerance for pain..So, if you can handle pain pretty good it won't hurt at all) What else are you wondering ? Hope I can help you! XOXO

So, today is where no matter how much makeup and lipstick you apply you can NOT hide the swelling and bruising on your lips. It's not painful it just feels swollen. I like to make different faces and really push my lips around to help breakdown the Juvederm. I've been told to also massage my lips and really help it break through so it can sort of settle out evenly faster. Here's what my lips are looking like today.... STILL IN LOVE WITH MY LIPS, I don't care if they look silly today. :)

WAS THAT A SPECIAL OR DISCOUNT...FOR ONE SYRINGE?
User Avatar
September 18, 2014
It actually is not. The full price for a full syringe is only $500. I've noticed in different states it's much more expensive. &It's almost a rip off to buy a half syringe because it's $350.... &You lose a lot of product.
September 17, 2014
the final product looks awesome! how long does it usually take before you can leave the house and go to work?
User Avatar
September 18, 2014
Thank you so much. :) The swelling is still pretty high right now but it's healing nicely. I actually went back to work the next day, I usually put full coverage foundation on and try to put some darker lipstick on....It makes it a bit less visible. MY swelling is a bit rough on my top lip because we put a lot of the Juvederm in the lining of my lip....Which is why the bruising is so intense. When you get your lips filled evenly the actual "meaty" part of your lip doesn't bruise as heavily. Are you considering getting it done!?
