I decided to give coolsculpting a try after 4 years of not being able to get rid of my stubborn baby belly. 1 was 115 lbs prior to having my son and am now weighing in at 135. Had my 1st treatment yesterday on my abdomen (2 large - one on the lower/upper). Not painful at all during the procedure, just a little awkward. So far, just numb and a tad swollen.. we'll see what the next few days bring.

Day 2: Floating Away to Planet BLOAT

MightyMorphinTime
Interesting things experienced:

* Numb and tingly (really hoping this doesn't mean that infamous nerve pain is on it's way..)
* Peeing all the time.. Like every 2 hours.
* Just a tad sore.
* Very swollen. I realize now that this is not the same as feeling bloated/filled with air. No, this - this is different. Skin feels tight, hard, and still frozen in a way, but jiggles like it's got a life of its own. Very strange and kind of confusing?

I lived on Planet Bloat for almost 3 weeks!! It will get better but it is very strange and confusing.

3 weeks?? Yikes. Did you wear a compression garment?

I wore a spanx for maybe 4 days and then it was just causing me more discomfort than it was worth. I went back to the gym 2 days after and people asked me if I was expecting. I think I have a photo somewhere with my belly with the spanx on. Yikes.

My husband just said I was on Planeg Bloat for 2-2.5 weeks.

So interesting! I found wearing compression garments soothing – and I usually hate constricting clothing. I felt good enough to stop wearing them after about 5 days.

Interesting you are urinating so much. I wonder if it's just pressure on your bladder from the swelling. Don't worry about the swelling. It will subside. I do recommend compression garments like Spanx to keep the jiggles and pain at bay. Also, I used arnica gel. I'm just over a week now since my belly treatment and I'm feeling almost normal. I have some little spurts of nerve tingling, but nothing too painful. I hope you continue feeling okay.

Trader Joes has arnica gel in their self care section if you want to get some.

Swelling Subsiding...No Pain!

MightyMorphinTime
I was a little nervous about day 5 seeing as this is when most folks start experiencing the infamous nerve pain. But here I am on day 5 and have yet to experience anything too crazy. Aside from an occasional MILD stinging sensation around my bellybutton, things are feeling good! Bought some arnica gel just in case things decide to take a turn for the worse. A little bruising above my bellybutton, but it looks to be fading already. Still swollen (although not nearly as much as the 1st few days) and pretty numb, I no longer have any hesitation or doubt about going in for my flanks thus Friday. Yay!

Forgot to mention one other side effect that I haven't seen anyone post about. I'M SO TIRED. All I want to do is sleep and my energy levels are non existent. Anyone else experience fatigue in the days following coolsculpting on the abdomen or anywhere else?

I didn't notice being tired but I did take it easy physically for a few days. Still productive but just not overextending.

That's odd, I didn't experience any fatigue either. But I was in bed as much as possible in the following days because my stomach was so sore and tender that all I wanted to do was lay down.

Ya, I had a pretty busy weekend cleaning the house and running errands. Also just started a 14 day teatox. Maybe I just pushed myself too hard too soon.

I had some slight bruising as well but nothing too bad. Good luck on the flanks! Woo hoo.
