WORTH IT
I recently had to have a very large atypical mole removed from my face. I am prone to getting these unfortunately and have been left with awful scars that have really hurt my confidence. It is only a few weeks out, and I think this one will heal well thanks to the incredible talent of my dr. The procedure itself was not too painful, and the healing process is going quite well!

Welcome to the community and thanks so much for offering your opinion of your doctor.

It would be great if you could give us a little more detail about your experience, like why you had the surgery, your tips for getting good results, pros/cons, and info on the recovery process.

Our community members especially love seeing photos from before, during, and after — a realistic look at what they can expect. Photos grab the attention of the community and encourage more support for you.

As a community manager, I get requests all the time from other members who want me to to keep encouraging people to share their experiences, which are so helpful for others considering these procedures. So please accept this as a well-intentioned request from thousands.

Hello,
How much was the removal and how was it removed?

Good morning,
The procedure was paid for by my medical insurance along with my copay/coinsurance of approximately 500...so very inexpensive for a complex surgical procedure. The dr numbed the area, then very carefully excised the mole and sutured it up. The stitches were in for about 1 week. I am not treating it with topical scar cream to assist with fading and keeping the skin smooth. I will be posting before and after pictures soon:)
