Co2 recovery

WORTH IT
In response to someone's question: The co2 was just to remove the web like scarring. The recovery was minimal, maybe a day or two. I was ok with being seen in public. The next procedure was clear and bright and recovery was also minimal, maybe three days. I went out with family who didn't even notice anything. I'm very happy with the results and noticed improvement as time passed after the procedure. I'm eternally grateful to Dr. Kara.

After second treatment

Adultchild
First treatment was Co2 and Clear & Bright (fractional laser). The second treatment is with Clear & Bright only. Dr. Karamanoukian said that in the future when I'm ready, he can perform a lip lift revision to help with the white scars under my nose. He said that he'll place the incisions up inside the lower nostrils so that the scars inside the nose aren't visible. I trust him enough to do the revision in the future but I have to see when it can fit it into my schedule. I was very happy with the results after the first treatment because it completely eliminated the webbed scarring and pits around the alar crease. The pics as of today still have some scabbing from the last treatment. But I'm so happy with the results that I have no problem going out in public and work. My very observant 20 year old so never noticed the temporary redness or scabs around my nose. I trust Dr Karamanoukian so much, I've scheduled Lipo of the abdomen and Ultherapy.

Hi. I have never posted but I read your comment about the doctor wanting to put the scars up inside your nostrils and I wanted to share. I had a lip lift done with another doctor in Beverly Hills and he did this on me ("hid" the scars in the nostrils). I sounds good but it was a huge mistake and one of the worst decisions I have ever made. If the doctor puts the scars in your nostrils he will have to cut your natural nasal sills out. You can never replace the nasal sill. It is virtually impossible to recreate this part of the human anatomy. I just wanted to share this with you and others so you do not make the huge mistake I made. I hope this helps.

Thank you so much for sharing. During my follow up the doctor told me that there's no need for revision surgery. He told me to leave everything alone because everything looks fine now after the laser and co2. I'm very happy with the results. After my last posted pics there was more improvement after the healing continued. What are the complications with losing the nasil sill?

I have the exact same scars from a lip lift procedure I had performed a year and 1/2 ago from an Atlanta plastic surgeon. It's been an agonizing recovery to say the least. Since my initial procedure, I attempted a scar revision with the same doctor, that sadly resulted in worse scarring. Due to an allergic reaction to sutures, the surgical site became infected, and resulted in terrible hypotrophic (raised) and hypo pigmented (white) scarring that migrated and became stretched and hash marked. They are very noticable and I am extremely self conscious (and obsessed) with their appearance! Since the surgery, I have spent thousands of dollars trying to improve the scars with other doctors (dermatologists and board certified plastic surgeons) that included steroid injections, V-beam lasers, and micro needling. While I found the steroid injections were very helpful with the raised scar, nothing has improved the look or texture of these scars. Could you please share exactly what your doctor did to improve the scar? I am so happy you found a PS that could help you - and would love to find the same in Atlanta!

Dr Karamanoukian mentioned my different textured white scars and he said that they contain no pores and that he would try to recreate the texture to match the surrounding skin. I think when he does the lip lift revision on me, it would eliminate all of my concerns. I'm very happy so far.
