42, and Getting My Life Back

To be honest, there just aren’t enough stars to accurately rate Dr. Raffy Karamanoukian and his staff at Kare Plastic Surgery & Skin Health Clinic. I have been seeing him for over a year now, for various concerns I’ve had. I’m in my 40s and feel like I am living my best life now, in part because of the care that he has given. He is giving me the confidence back to finally just be myself!

Since the time I’ve met him, he has regularly shown himself to be methodical and honest in his approach, yet kind, understanding, and warm- in summary, he has treated me like I matter.

His staff are also wonderful! His anesthesiologists are amazing! Being someone who is normally already anxious/nervous, I am very happy with how quickly and uneventfully they get me to fall sleep. The rest of his staff are equally fantastic! They have great personalities, and just have a knack for helping you feel comfortable.

I guess my biggest compliment is that I can say I fully trust Dr. Karamanoukian and his staff- this doctor is a true and talented artist!

Dr. Karamanoukian’s work at Kare is life-changing! He is doctor, but he is also an artist and believe it or not, a psychiatrist. His work is life-changing because he is allowing me to live my life in a way I didn’t think was ever going to be possible again.
My life was altered many years ago when my appendix ruptured and caused me to have a long, 6.5 inch, very deep and wide scar across my stomach. Having been a swimmer for all my life before that, this scar caused me many years of declining friends’ pool and beach parties (making up the excuse that I don’t like to swim), to always choosing the locker in the corner at my gym, just so my friends wouldn’t see my scar when I changed. I was obviously bothered by it so much that I was willing to do every awkward thing I could so that people didn’t see it.
I just had my surgery to revise my scar about a month ago, so I’m still healing, but my scar is already becoming flat, thin, and starting to match the color of my skin. I’m very happy with the progress. I’m grateful for Dr. Karamanoukian because he is giving me a new lease to enjoy life and to feel “normal” again. Oh, and I have to say his staff is phenomenal! They are so nice, friendly, efficient, and approachable.
