1.What did your doctor say when you mentioned getting plastic surgery?
2. What have you said or what will you say to your boss and/or coworkers once you return to work regarding your new appearance?!
3. Has anyone gotten this surgery that prior to surgery had back issues? (arthritis, sciatica, slipped disk) If so do you think it made your recovery even harder to deal with? Once you healed from the surgery, has your back pain gotten better then it was prior to surgery? Worse? Or stayed the same?

1. I visited a new PCP yesterday. Young black female and I LOVED HER! I told her that I wanted a complete physical. I then told her that I intended to have a TT. She then asked who was the Surgeon. I started smiling then with hesitation told her my surgeon is in the DR. She started laughing and asked why was I going there. I told her because it was less expensive. She told me to make sure I stay there until my drains are removed. I told her my plan is to stay 3 weeks. She of course shared the risks of not having access to the surgeon if complications should occur. She told me that she has had 3 patients do the same as I. One had complications but she did provide all of their aftercare and that she'd do the same for me upon my return. She did my blood work and told me she'll help me with my anemia. She also advised that I loose as much weight as possible prior to the procedure. I'm 5'2 and weigh152. I didn't ask her about the RX just yet. I'll wait until closer to my sx date which is 1/12/16 w/Dra. Baez.
2. I'm a Flight Attendant so I fly with different ppl every trip. You may fly with someone and not see them again for over a year. However I don't have any problem sharing with those who'd dare ask.

Nice! Fingers crossed i have the same positive experience with my pc as well. Once i find one that is. You lucked up on the coworker situation! I work with some very nosey and sometimes judgmental females that are always aware of any changes that of us makes. You change something as simple as your nail polish, they peep it and speak on it. I'll definitely be put on the spot and im not looking forward to it. I'll be looking great tho so i may not care! Good luck on your journey hun ;)
Those who'd dare to ask.....LMAO!!!!
I have to make a visit with a new primary care doctor too. As far as the coworkers, I have been straight honest, I have been telling my clients I am having a body makeover and 95% of them have been super supportive.
As far as the back pain/sciatica that is a concern of mine too. I have read that they don't inject the fat close enough to the nerve to affect the sciatic nerve though. Getting sx done in 50 days so I will let you know about the back once all the other swelling settles down.

Hi your stats and mines are very similiar only difference is I'm 5'9" my dr. just gave me all my vitamins and Iron px today and if your in the ny area I can send you info on a dr. that will give you the dr. notes. but other than that I'm planning my sx in march but more toward the beginning of march. But I do start my gym membership today I figured If I start in Oct I should be able to take some weight off by march but If I'm not losing anything by december I'm going to LA for large volume liposuction.

New sx date
I havent done an update in quite some time now so i guess i should let you all know the changes that have occured.
1. I had so much going on the last 6 months that i lost absolutely no weight! Unfortunately I just wasnt in the right head space to do so.
2. So my surgery date has changed as a result from July 6, 2015 to March 24, 2016.
Btw I totally blew it not making the changes I needed to make for my original surgery date of July. It was the perfect timing for having my sx in regards to it not being a burden in anyway on my family. My bestie was going to keep my little ones for those 2wks over their summer break. Now I'll be squeezing my sx in during spring break and i wont be able to stay as long as I'd originally intended to which was 14 days instead of 10.
3. I now have to start all over and send in yet another deposit :(
You snooze you lose i guess. Me losing out on my $350 will insure that i take this weight loss thing seriously now!
4. I think when I'd originally signed up we were allowed to have a bmi of 40. But apparently new regulations require us to have a bmi of 35! SMH. I dont think ive been in that range since middle school. Can you say screwed?!!
5. I also no longer have a primary care doctor. I have to find a new one that im somewhat comfortable with and desk with the awkward situation of telling them that i plan on having plastic surgery and in another country at that! Then i have to hope add pray that they'll give me Rxs for the meds I'll need, and give me a note for work without saying exactly what type of sx I'm actually having!!! Did i mention that i'm part time and have no leave! Lawd, Y'all keep your fingers crossed for me
With all that being said im still determined to do this. I have a alot if things working against me but it high time that i finally do something for myself. I deserve it so now i just have to make it happen :)

No hun. Your deposit is good for 1 year. If you change your date within that time you'll be ok.
Hi I'm having my sx on April 4th with Dr. Almonte. ...maybe I'll see you there

Hey Doll, good luck with your surgery. I know you'll look great because you're already beautiful. I am a plus size woman too looking to have a plus size body afterwards as well. I'll be following your journey:-)
are u currently on a weight loss regime
Going to be doing the smoothie thing since i luv sweets so that'll be my go to butt beyond that im to be doing Braggs Vinegar 3xs a day and drinking honey and cinnamon twice a day. Because i have sciatica along with bone spurs and arthritis in my back and my knees I'll be doing the stationary bike and water aerobics until i lose enough weight to do more physical activities.
I was meant to bump into you! I'm 5'11" 295 lbs and my goal weight is 255! I need to keep in touch with you because you can feel where I'm coming from! LOL! Maybe we can keep each other motivated. I too wanted to have sx the 1st week in April. If all goes well, we can possibly be buddies! I can't figure out how to find or follow anyone on here though.
I'm back and ready to get on my grind. Are you still interested in having surgery?
What all are you having done if I may ask?
You don't look anywhere near 290. Its awesome how when you are tall you can carry more weight. GL on the surgery.
I'm actually 300-310 & carry it amazingly well. My goal weight is now 245. Lots of work i have to put in now. Wish me luck!

2. My co-workers don't care...I told them I was having minor surgery and won't be in the office for about 2-3 weeks.
3. Can't really answer this yet since I'm only 3 weeks post-op. I will say that when I'm out of my garment for a couple of hours, my skin gets extremely tight and if I try stretching, it feels like my skin is tearing! That ish hurts! The recovery process is no joke..just prepare yourself and have someone with you at least the first 2-3 days.
Good luck hun
