Ultherapy - 48 Yr. Old Not Ready for a Facelift - San Ramon, CA

The plusses of Ultherapy are that it gave my cheeks and jawline a small lift, my face appears a bit thinner/angular. I started noticing this around 4-6 months after. Under the chin is still a saggy double chin and the neck is exactly the same as before the procedure. As painful as it was and given the reaction I had, its doubtful that I would ever do it again. I didn't bother posting "after" photos because there really isn't a noticeable difference.
I'm sure a lower face or neck lift is a future possibility, better start saving my pennies now!

Try therismooth before you get anything surgical. I've seen great tightening results from that and it's non invasive.

Sorry I meant thermismooth

Do you mean ThermiRF?

It might be the sane company? I meant ThermiSmooth- I had to get the pamphlet out. I had that done around my eyes and mouth and I loved it. I think the neck area would be ThermiTight because it's a larger area, I've seen personally a few people who had it done with great results.
It's a pretty new procedure here, but I do see there are great reviews here on it too.

Don't waste your money on Ulthera. Very expensive and not worth the minimal results (if any).

i had 4 treatments wishing for results we no longer offer it in our office

ultherapy is not supposed to bruise or burn the skin. The Dr. said the credentials of his employee are unknown...wow!

3 weeks out

chameleon
It has only been 3 weeks, I still have numbness under my chin and skin is still very sore on neck, feel like a sunburn. I believe i still have some swelling as my double chin looks more pronounced and my neck skin looks horrific, like a turkey! What's up with that?! (see photo) At this point in time, my neck looks much worse than before the procedure, but one can't tell the results until the 3 month mark. Wearing scarves and crossing fingers that things are under construction until then.

Please update with pictures once you're a a few more weeks along. I've been to Dr. Ting before but am surprised he didn't do the procedure... It's not a cheap procedure and I thought there was a lot of special training? I'm hopeful that your results will be great- hang in there!

Did you ask the Dr. why your neck looks worse? Did he take before and after pictures?
June 3, 2015
He took before pics, they dont do after pics til it's past the 3 month mark.

It was about two months for me before the facial swelling went down. Hang in there!

Thank you for that. A lot of the doctors on this site love to say that there is no downtime with this procedure and that hasn't been the case.

Hi chameleon , I did my ulthera exactly 3 months ago and just like you ,I was noticing my neck looking worse than before the procedure .. Very discouraging then fast forward to a month when I started noticing the lifting on my face .. The neck still looks the same .though..Now 3 months after the procedure and I am very happy with my results .. Patience is the key here I think (which I don't have lol ) I remember waking up every morning and looking for some changes . Sometimes I see it and other days I feel like it's just a pigment of my imagination .. So I stopped looking for it then one day last month , putting my make up on when it hit me how younger I look ...so please don't get discouraged yet ...just like u and crisscross, I took supplements and even added sauna therapy for a clean lifestyle coz I Am determine to make this procedure work .. Thankfully I am not on any prescription drugs coz I always wonder how that come into play with the collagen production since my nurse told me not to take ibuprofen for the first 6 months .. Good luck to you

thank you so much for the encouraging words. My neck is looking better than the photos I posted, thank god! I am only one month and one week out and am impatient. I do feel a difference in my cheeks and jawline area, it may not be visible but it feels firmer. I'll be thrilled if things only get better, thanks!

its been about a week and a half, bruising has finally faded. I did find a spot under my chin that appears to be a burn mark, luckily it is hidden but I'm going to have the doctor check it out. Still some swelling in neck and under chin area, very sensitive to the touch. I've been icing it at night.
Can't tell if its the absence of swelling or if things are tightening up. Cheeks look more toned, less sag/wrinkles around the mouth. Twinges of nerve pain throughout the day along jaw, like a sharp poke of a pin.
