A few years ago I got serious about my fitness - I work out 3-5 days a week, eat healthy 80% of the time but I just could not get my stomach flatter or my thighs better! I've done squats, crunches, step ups - I joined a gym, have a personal trainer and yet.... so I went to see a doctor about some fillers and spied the info about Coolsculpting. Two months and several questions later... I took the plunge.
The office is great, all the staff is very nice and the Dr. always comes in and discusses with me what is being recommended. they respond via email or phone right away and made sure I got all the answers that I needed. There was one thing that was frustrating to me, my first assessment, the nurse said 6 cycles, doctor came in and said 8, then I got estimates for 8-10 cycles. I was like...Umm... hunh?? I went with 10 just in case but have had 8 to date.
On June 17th I had 4 cycles: small applicators one each on inside thighs, then one each on the flanks. It took 4 hours (1 hour each cycle). I was afraid to get the abdomen because I was going to a friend's wedding that Saturday and I didn't want to be swollen or in pain. The doctor assure me I would be ok but said if I wasn't sure that I should just get the inner thighs and flanks done first. It was the most uncomfortable the first 1-5 minutes then after that it was just annoying to have to lay there. I read, did a few word puzzles, listened to music but I couldn't sleep. The staff kept me warm and checked on me regularly; they took my blood pressure 3 or 4 times, checked my vitals to make sure I was doing ok. Putting that cold sheet on me before the applicator was probably the worst part, because it was so cold! Or having to lift up a leg and have the gals all up in my business to attach the applicator to my inner thighs...but the massage was fine, I had small sting of pain for just about 5 minutes afterwards as I warmed up but nothing else. A few bruises on the flanks, itchy skin, some numbness on the flanks but I had no other pain or discomfort.
I had my upper and lower abdomen done in 4 cycles on 07/03 and had the same experience. No bruising, no pain and as of today, I still have some numb spots but I've worn my regular clothes and no discomfort that was disruptive.
Now, the reviews all say that it takes like 2 months so right now its too soon but I have to say I'm nervous. I wonder if I paid for nothing like when I tried Velashape. I'm drinking lots of water, I have been working out regularly but I do find myself looking in the mirror and seeing. Sometimes I think I see a difference in the flanks but...not sure. I have it flagged for me to check again in Mid August to see if there is any difference. If there is I'll post an update and pics.
Overall - I was really terrified of the other posts that talked about swelling, pain and problems for weeks but I had minor discomfort, it was annoying to be stuck at the doctors for 5 or 6 hours but I am hoping that this wasn't a waste of money.

I had mine done just about the same time you did. I had the same experience as you. I had inner and outer thighs done. At the one month mark I don't really see any results. So hoping this was not a waste of money.

Well.. The staff and the Dr told me that its a 4 month overall process, so at 1 month, there is only slight differences. They took 360 photos of everything so I could compare it and I have my follow up on 08/26 to take another set of photos and compare. I was told that with the photos above, there's a difference, I think I wanted more, LOL... I'm just gonna see how things go. I appreciate Dr Ting making sure I am good and what he can do to make me more secure. They advised me to BE PATIENT and keep doing what I am doing, that I will see results.

Same here. I started the whole process in Feb 2015 and here we are in September and I'm no longer expecting any results. Have another appointment to see how to proceed. But one thing I'm sure of, I won't be spending any more of my money on cool sculpting.

I hope so too, for your sake. It did NOT work for me, like, at all. $2800. bucks down the tubes.
I'm 47, 5"5 & 123. Not heavy at all, just the bra/back fat dealio that was soooo gross, I couldn't even look at myself from the back!

Last 2 cycles done - back flanks
seussmdAugust 6, 2015
I had my last 2 cycles this afternoon, the back flanks. I had my inner thighs and front flanks done in mid June, my upper and lower abs done in July and this is my last 2. The procedure itself was cake compared to 4 cycles each time previously spending 6-7 hours at the office, this time only 2 1/2. I got to lay on my side while they put on the REALLY COLD WET cover before she placed the applicator on my markings.
The first 5 minutes is really the worst as the machine sucks up the fat and you feel a pinch and the heaviness of the applicator. Then it's uncomfortable while its doing its freezing thing. After that - its just annoying to have to lay still, and stay in one position for an hour. The brick of lumpy flesh that comes out and has to be massaged back is creepy looking but when they are done with the massage its all back down. There is another 5 or 10 minutes where all that frozen flesh thaws out - there is some discomfort and tingly pain there but...that's... it.
As before the office staff is very professional, nice and accommodating. They carefully explain everything, mark the spots, take my blood pressure and temperature and checked on me every 30 minutes. I had a camera on me so they could check as well as a call button if I needed anyone. Dr. Ting took a few moments to talk with me in between cycles, to see how I was and came in during one to give me an assessment on my request related to fillers which led to my comment about how badly my face has broke out. He wrote up a regimen for me to clear that up, gave me some input on fillers and said he'd see me in a couple of weeks at the follow up. Additionally, since I had indicated that I wasn't so far impressed with the Coolsculpting results Dr. Ting is offering me Vasershape on all the areas I got treated on free of charge so that we can get the best results. That was super super appreciated and I am looking forward to this in a couple of months.
I added photos from today. No updates on the abs, thighs or flanks. I'll wait to do an update in a couple of weeks. Then it will be 2 months for thighs, upper flanks, 1 month for abs and a couple of weeks for back flanks.

Last 2 cycles done - rear flanks Coolsculpting
seussmdAugust 11, 2015
OK so it's so weird but I had my rear flanks done this past Wednesday, so not quite a week. This is honestly the most uncomfortable I've ever been with any of the procedure! I kept reading that the abdomen was the worst but I didn't have any issues. I'm not in pain, but I have to say - clothing bothers me, and there is discomfort in my back around the area. I take an Aleve once or twice a day and that takes care of it, it isn't anything major but wow.. I am super suprised! Very slight bruising on the left side, and tender still. Who would have thought!
I'll take photos this weekend to check any progress on my abs, and thighs. Too soon for the flanks.

Anxious to hear about your results. My doctor just explained it and showed me the mock up of the amount of skin they put into the machine. It was quite small, and he said that the machine then kills ten percent of the fat cells in that tissue. It seemed to me it would take a lot of treatments to see any significant results. I have also heard about people who were left with ridges and divots in the treated area's, which then had to be treated with some other form of procedure to smooth it all out. And, what if the skin sags where the fat was? As mentioned, I'm curious!!
August 29, 2015
It's hard to say - I didn't have any divits or bulges but I'm really unsure if it was worth it. Just had my two month follow up and I don't see a change. That means I'm half way through. When I look at other posts - it seems like if your already pretty slim and don't need much then you see results quicker. I had more fat where I got it done even thought I'm small overall.
I had to laugh at the "all up in my business" line. I can only imagine! There's a very helpful forum with post-op tips that might help. I'm looking forward to your updates and pics.
I'll check out the forum, I spent a lot of time on here reading through all the Coolsculpting and that's actually what freaked me out - I kept thinking "I'm going to swell up!! I'm going to have sharp stabbing pains!!" but... other than itchy, and some oddly feeling numbness here and there - I'm ok. I just am hoping that some of this goes away - and will definitely post more pics and updates as the weeks go on!! thank you!
