WORTH IT

So, my surgery is scheduled!!! Six weeks from yesterday! Ahhhhh!

Ok, now that I got that out, lol.... I am 5'1" and currently wearing a 36F. I'm thinking I want to be a full C. My PS told me I should really consider what size I want to be and sorta implied that maybe I should be a D(???), but I still think thats too big. I've had these boobs for so long, I wouldn't even know what a C is really like.

At this point I'm not sure if I'm more excited that I've finally decided to do it or more nervous about how its going to turn out. I was told to find a soft sports bra to take to my post-op and have absolutely no idea what to look for or where to look?? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! And if anyone has any other suggestions for after the surgery, they are much appreciated! Well, thats enought for now, I will try and get a before picture up soon. Until next time ladies!

hey girl my name is reshema and i also have a breast reduciton coming up guess how long away mine is wait for it wait for it ...... NOV 9th girl i wish my surgery was July 20th girl i also am from fairfiel ca im glad to find someone from california on here and also going threw the same as mei dont know what size i am girl i just know that i am huge lol... i believe i fall in the H or I girl but i dont know you should post some before o=pics up thats what i did im new onhere also well keep in touch girlie god bless...

Thanks for the review Bree! Excited and nervous are totally normal feelings. I was a 34H, reduced to 34DD. Had hoped for C, but PS said he made me as small as he felt he could and still maintain my sensation and circulation. Healing was perfect and scarring is minimal, so am grateful for that. While still bigger than I would have liked, I feel so much better. No back pain. I can hike, canoe, paint walls, walk and I don't hurt anymore. I would still like to be a bit smaller, but I'm not upset that I'm not...at least I'm not as big as I was!

Hi Brea :). Good luck with your surgery. You are going to feel instant relief from all that boob weight. I went from 34dd to 34c and I'm 5' short. I'm better proportioned and torso looks so long now :). As far as sports bra. Look for one with a thick band that is really soft against your skin. Pick one that has a clasp or zipper. You won't want to lift your arms up too high. I found a nice one at jcp with a zipper in the front.

Thank you so much!! You are going to absolutely love shopping!! Just be patient. Let the girls heal and settle a little before trying on a bunch of bras. I was able to bra shop on wk 8. Keep us posted!

Five weeks to go! Just turned in my paperwork for time off at work and its slowly but surely sinking in. My family gave my gift cards for Victoria Secret for my birthday last month in hopes that I will finally be able to shop there! I can't wait to go shopping! I know its still quite a ways out, but its definitely one of the many highlights that I hope will come along with this journey. Most of all, I can't wait for this constant nagging neck/back pain to go away... its just so frustrating... but at least there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Oh, and on a side note, I'm not really picky about my PS office as long as he's good at surgery, but I have to say, getting them to fill out paperwork that I need for work seems to be a lot like having to pull teeth! Hopefully they get that together soon!

Ok, so I just made my appointment for my pre-op bloodwork. With just over two weeks away, I think the nerves are starting to settle in a little. I have so much to get done before the surgery, I don't even know where to start. I also found out that I will be spending the night in the hospital instead of going home the same day. Not sure how I feel about that, but I think my mom is slightly relieved since she is the one taking care of me after its done.

I still haven't been able to find a sports bra. I've looked online a little and may have found one or two, but don't have a clue what size to order, so I might just order a couple and return what I don't use. My PS office finally filled out all the paperwork I needed for work.... four weeks of no work! I might be a little excited about that even if its because I'm having surgery. I'm gonna go and stock up on some books and hopefully catch up on some reading during my downtime and maybe accomplish some some other things that don't require much effort. Now I just need to make a list of things to buy for after so I can be prepared.

I went from a J cup to c/d got sports bras at Walmart 2/$10 that close with front hooks just tickled to get 2bras for $10 after paying $50 each...lol when you are so big they now look so small I was surprised I was even a big c/small d...lol I think I need a padded bra...lol

Don't by good bras till your well healed and swelling is down get cheepies from wallys cause they will get stained from draining and you will want to throw them away I had 4 bras cause I had to have clean every day from leaking...just an fyi
