WORTH IT
I have been stalking this site for a while now, and it's really what gave me the courage to go and get checked out to see if I was able to get a breast reduction, and I qualified! I am 22 years old, 5'9", and 130 pounds, and currently a 34DDD, so I am all boobs! I'm super excited about the procedure, I'm really just worried about the anesthesia. (I know, it's silly, but I'm terrified! I have no idea why.) my boyfriend of 3 and a half years is being very supportive. He can't wait to not give me shoulder massages! ;D

I decided to get a reduction because I've been getting increasingly worse and worse migraines, and my shoulders and neck hurt almost constantly. As you can tell from my photos as well, my right breast seems a bit larger than my left, and I'm hoping that a breast reduction will help that as well.

Anyways! I am about 5 weeks away from surgery, and I can't be more excited!!!

She has been very helpful and informative, albeit not really there.. The amount of minutes I have spent with her total has been about 30 minutes, but she was always easy to reach via phone or email. When I met with her the first time she suggested the different styles of the procedure and I asked for the "lollipop" and she seemed very receptive, and agreed that that would work! (Which it did!) She also suggested that she makes sure to decrease nipple size so it's proportionate to the new boob! (Which is great, because I was a little worried about that). Now that my process is over and I've seen the new girls, she did a fantastic job, and I can not wait until I don't have to wear a sports bra anymore! They are nice and proportionate, and the scarring already looks minimal, and I'm only 2 weeks in right now!

Good luck with your procedure! How many grams did the surgeon say, he would remove from each breast and what size would you be? I too am 34DDD and contemplating the reduction.

Oh man! I've been so busy with work and preparing for surgery that I fell off the face of the planet!! I can recall exact numbers, but I believe about 500grams will be taken out of each breast (give or take, especially with the one being larger than the other). So far I've been very excited!!! You should do it! All I've heard is how happy everyone is after doing it!

Congratulations! Which insurance did you have and how long did they take to approve you?

I had just regular BlueShield. I went through Kaiser and all I really had to do was mention to my primary doctor and my OBGYN about my back pain and my migraines, then I saw the surgeon and she told me I qualified. I was very lucky to get approved so fast. It was great.

Congrats o had my oct 6 . I was a 34ddd and had 448 from right and 504 from left removed . I hope I'm the B he told me I would be cause I don't want that pain again from having big ones

Yeah, it definitely sounds like you have a B with how much they took out. Even now, with minimal swelling I look like I'm a B, and I haven't even had my drains taken out! Happy healing!

Anesthesia shouldn't be a problem. Speak to anesthesiologist before surgery and ask all the questions you want; tell your concerns and let him/her know if you have allergies, asthma a etc. Make sure you don't eat or drink after mid night the night before surgery. You'll be in and out in a blink of an eye. I only threw up once when I got home so eat lightly. Make sure you get stool softeners. Anesthesia can cause a blockage, which is the worst pain imaginable. Congrats n good luck. I'm elated with my new tatas!

I just got back from the grocery store for all the things I'll need! I picked up some jello, crackers, soup and some frozen stuff, for both eating and chilling the girls after surgery! I got these really nice front zipper sports bras on Amazon because all the surgical bras are not small enough for my frame. (I'll post a link in the comments for you girls that can't find them too). I'm really excited and really nervous to be going down this road of new discovery and new boobies!

These are the bras! They feel very comfy, and I got a small, so hopefully they'll fit the new tah-tahs!
