6 months since original procedure, time for Restalyne for under eye troughs
RSMember18339May 6, 2019
WORTH IT$2,155
I set an appointment almost exactly 6 months to the day, it turns out, for my under eyes. It turns out that I still had Restalyne left over from the first procedure, so the entire thing was FREE! I appreciate that of Dr. Echavez. As usual, he did no upsell attempts when I asked questions about other potential procedures.
I wish that there was a way for my under eye troughs to be more full, but it's pretty impossible with fillers. Restalyne is the best bet, slightly plumping out and smoothing out wrinkles- it's mainly for wrinkles, which I don't actually care about that much. There is a difference with the wrinkles for sure, I'm not sure if I'll spend the money again for it again since my issue is more with the hollows.
AFTER: PLEASE READ
After a couple hours afterward, there was dark bruising as to be expected. HOWEVER, I want to note that I noticed a lump at the injection site which freaked me out. The doctor made sure to massage the areas afterward, and I also had been (stupidly!) vigourously rubbing my eyes because of allergies all day after,. I don't know if that affected it. I was very worried. It didn't look noticable or anything, but I could feel it. However, I alcohol swabbed the site and my fingers and massaged the area and it's gone down. So make sure not to rub the area afterward, just in case!
I am still happy with Juvederm. I am thinking of Sculptra next time, since Juvederm I just wanted instant results and Sculptra is supposed to build up on itself over a series of months. I've stopped working out every day and losing weight, and having more rest, so I'm sure that plays a huge part with how sunken my face looked.

Cheeks still holding up
RSMember18339April 17, 2019
It has been six months, and the Juvederm ia still holding up! About a month ago I started noticing my undereyes being more hollow. It is probably time for another Restalyne injection.
Ultimately, I still have zero regrets getting these procedures.

Thanks for the six month update! Your results were great. I had the same issues after weight loss. I have done Voluma in cheeks but considering nano fat transfer to fill under eyes next time.

I've never heard of nano fat transfer! Looking into it right now. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any providers of it around me! Yeah, it's pretty impossible to get under eye troughs filled out with injectibles, Restalyne helps a little.

How much roughly is nano fat transfer and is it different than a regular fat transfer? Also how many vials of Sculptra did he recommend per session and how many sessions did he recommend? Did he mention the number of cc’s in each vial of sculptra? Also what was roughly the cost of each vial of sculptra and the rough cost per session and overall cost of the sessions? I heard Juvederm Voluma is the best for the whole cheek/cheekbone area and that Sculptra is really only usable in the temple areas and maybeeeee the cheek area due to its higher risk of forming nodules in areas, like the cheek area, that experience more movement. Did he happen to mention this and explain this risk or say that this could be a possible complication? If he did, then did he still recommend that over doing a fat transfer or Juvederm? Also did he use Restylane Lyft in your tear trough area or another form of Restylane? Also why did he use Restylane? That filler and its various forms have thicker molecules which can cause more complications like more swelling and bruising and a higher risk of nodules, as oppose to a filler like Belotero which has smaller molecules so it doesn’t cause much swelling or bruising and doesn’t have as high of a risk of nodules forming. Belotero also has the least risk among all of the fillers used under the eye of increasing the blueish-ness in the bag area as quite a few of the other fillers can make some people’s veins show more and make that whole area look more discolored, especially when said people have thinner skin and fairer skin tones. However, I know despite all of this, some doctors recommend Restylane Lyft over Belotero though but I just wonder why, like did he mention the differences between the two and if Restylane Lyft produces more of a result than Belotero or give any other reasons about his choice of under-eye filler for you and/or for his patients in general or any other information? I had a skeletal deformity which recently got corrected through extensive surgery, however, my doctors couldn’t do a lot regarding the overall lack of fat volume and discrepancies in fat and muscle volume between either sides of my face. I was told to look into using Botox to freeze and thus diminish the size of my masseter muscle on the one side of my face which would hopefully then cause my other side’s muscle to become stronger and more prominent. I was also told that a bone graft (to build up my underdeveloped mid-face) as well as a fat transfer would be the best solutions that would last the longest as oppose to solely relying on filler to give my face more structure and fullness, but that I should choose filler at first since it’s temporary so that I can see whether or not I like the difference. I just got Juvederm voluma in my cheeks but I’m only one week into my recovery and one side is healing faster than the other one, which feels more lumpy. Did you experience the same? I am only 21 so I know I’m typically younger than most to be doing all of this, but my skeletal deformity affected the development of my face significantly so my face had just become more and more deformed (and kept having more problems and pain and such) until I finally had the surgery I needed to correct almost everything. However I still wish my face will finally look normal and the way I want it to someday soon and so I am going about trying to make sure that happens; but I’m a broke college student so I’m extremely worried about spending what little money I have on something that I might not like or might not last long or might cause more problems than intended (especially in the under-eye area since my skin is so pale and thin). Your results look fantastic (although you already had absolutely stunning cheekbones tbh) and I want to be as happy as you are with whatever treatment option I go with. I’m sorry for going on and on and asking all of these questions, but I hope you will understand why and where I’m coming from. I hope to hear back from you! :)

Hi! I love your results. It seems like wherever the volumes was placed it helped round out tournaments hollows below your cheek bone and added volume to the apple area. I had Voluma added to my malar area and it made my hollows below the cheek bone worse. Where were your cheek injections sites for the voluma?

2 weeks later, still holding up
RSMember18339October 15, 2018
Still happy with my face! I've been socializing again the past 2 weeks and feeling much more confident. I truly have no regrets. I even told my parents of my decision and showed them pictures and they approved- they are oldschool people who were once very against the decision in theory.
My under eye areas do the best when I get a lot of sleep. It is pretty crazy how just one day with less sleep can wreak havoc now. That's aging for you.
