Ten years ago, I had my first rhinoplasty and didn’t realize that it’s one of the most complicated plastic surgeries. Had I known this my story would be much different. After the surgery my nose was mutilated and twisted looking. It made me feel so uncomfortable and self-conscious, but I accepted this as my reality. That is until recently, I started investing hundreds of hours on different “revision specialists.” There were so many, but one caught my eye the most. After visiting four different surgeons, the one who stood out the most was Dr. David W Kim. He was very articulate, calm, and knowledgeable. After looking at many of his patient photos, I was very impressed, but I will admit I was still very reluctant to go through with my revision. Finally, I just went for it and let me tell you, I could not have been happier with the result. My nose is straight, I can breathe better and my nostrils are even. Dr. Kim and his staff we so amazing throughout the whole process. Amy, his patient care coordinator, was prompt to respond to my bombardment of questions and so friendly. Words cannot describe how much better I feel about myself. Thank you Dr. Kim and his amazing staff! He is the best and I’d do it all over again if I had to.

Thanks! And he used rib grafts. Feels a bit stiff, but definitely worth it.

Hi mate you have a very nice nose now it makes you look very good how was the rib gray pain was like In the ribs part area ? And is it diced cartliges or normal rib? I'm very happy for you welcome

Thanks a lot. Pain in the abdominal area was very minimal. I'd say it's equivalent to the soreness of doing a bunch of sit ups. Dr. Kim told me he had to use many pieces of cartilage, some thick, some diced. Essentially, rebuilding the lower portion of the nose because my septal cartilage was pretty much useless as you can see. Hope this helps.

Thanks for your reply ,I had my first revision with rib graft but it was very painfull I think the way the doctor took it out was wrong and no I need another revision with different doctor so I'm always afraid of the pain again

You're welcome. I felt very little pain with my revision. Mostly it was uncomfortable. The first week was the worst, but not too bad overall. I rarely used medications, possibly only twice a day at the most. I recommend giving Dr. Kim a call. I was so scared to finally go through with a revision, and it was an all or nothing thing for me. In the end, I just took a leap of faith and I'm so glad it paid off. Whatever you do, research the doctor like crazy.

Haha your worry is unnecessary. Feels a bit sore for about a week and a half, but not intolerable. Feels the same. Only difference is a visible scar below my pectoral muscle about an 1" wide.

Wow. I had no idea it could leave such a scar :-(

Personally, I don't find it too bad, but it is noticeable. It's important to weigh the pros and cons. In my case it was absolutely worth it. Best thing is to choose a great surgeon the first time.

Scars will fade! Time heals all wounds!

I think your nose looks very natural and suits your face perfectly. I wouldn't think you had anything done. This surgery is like playing the lottery and sometimes it just comes down to luck. Congrats you must be very happy.

Thanks and yes, I finally feel confident.
September 20, 2016
OMG, I feel the same way! I finally feel confident. Even though my revision is only 3 weeks I can see the huge Improvement. I know I still have a ways to go but the overall immediate Improvement is evident.

Happy for you. No human being deserves to be disfigured and cast aside like another number. You deserve it.

Happy for you too! You all deserve it after everything you've been though! Cheers!

Thanks so much. I hope my post helps anyone questioning the possibility that they can feel and look much better.

Thanks for posting these photos. The rib scar is good to see also as people rarely show that one. I am also about tens years out from my first surgery and I have discussed an operation with DWK as well, so seeing your result gives me some reassurance.

I wanted everyone to get the whole picture, rather than part of it. Most people will freak out from the scar,so I wanted to show it. It's scary playing this "lottery." Selecting surgeons are hard and my review should help somehwat. That said, best of luck if you go through with it.

thanks for the pic. it will fade in time.
