I just had the Starlux treatment yesterday so the jury is still out but just wanted to comment on my experience so far...
I went in and did have a numbing cream applied although I think I have a higher than normal tolerance for pain. I indicated this and probably in about a half hour we started the treatment. While it was slightly uncomfortable (like someone snapping a rubber band at my skin) I found it to be no big deal.
She asked me how I was and I told her no problems on my end and she said she turned it up a little higher than usual as I had told her I expected to be fine with it based on prior history. Confirming that we did two passes; the entire process went by very quickly for me and, outside of feeling a bit numb, I was a little red (which I kinda thought looked good) and didn't think I looked scary at all.
Day two - I woke up with maybe a little puffiness in my face but, once again, this was not an issue because I have a very narrow face and I kinda like the extra fullness! I looked for the whiteheads I was informed might come about and found a few but they are so small you really have to look to see them.
Other than that there is not muc to report. I will def go back for a second and third treatment as I don't see any real downside so far (for my response to treatment specifically). If I see tighter skin it is totally worth it to me but that still remains to be seen...
I'll report in after the next treatment or two.
