MS-Happy Nurse – Mexico

I am a 56 yr old female nurse who had been shopping around for a plastic surgeon for the past 7 years. I live in San Francisco and although I had researched for plastic surgeons in the bay area, I could not find one that I was comfortable with and was reasonably priced for the work I wanted performed. I had previously had a couple of corrective plastic surgery procedures, I was not impressed by the results. Through a referral from a friend, I contacted a Pediatrician, who was a former patient of Dr. Quiroz, to discuss her experience. She had a facelift performed 7 years ago and was extremely impressed by her entire surgical and recovery experience. In addition, she was extremely satisfied with Dr. Quiroz and her results. My friends experience gave me the courage to make a consultation appointment with Dr. Quiroz. After the consultation, I knew I had found the perfect plastic surgeon, the perfect facility/location at the best price at Cosmed. I had my surgical procedure on 10/02/14 and I cannot say enough about the exceptional care that I received. From the 1st step (preop exam) through my last step (post-op) appointment, the service and experience was amazing. Step 1: The cosmed clinic arranged for my husband and I to be picked up at the San Diego airport. We were taken to the facility. I decided to stay at the recovery facility for six days post op because it was immaculate and the clinic staff was available to cater to your every need. I was so impressed with Dr. Quiroz and the clinic that when I spoke to my sister about it, she decided to have a facelift at the same time as I was. On the day of surgery, Dr. Quiroz and the Anesthesiologist were available to answer any questions I still had. The Anesthesiologist was exceptional. I suffer from migraines and high blood pressure. When I spoke with the Anesthesiologist, he said not to worry about post op migraines, that he would take care of that. I have had approximately 6 previous surgical procedures in the United States and after each surgery, I have had blinding migraines that lasted for days. After my procedure at Cosmed, I never once experience a migraine. During the 6 days that I spent at the post op facility, I felt like I was staying at a 5 star hotel. The rooms were pristine, the food was delicious and fresh every day, and the staff was incredibly attentive to my every need.
I initially had concerns about going to another country for surgery. I was afraid that the regulatory requirements to keep patients safe would not be as rigorous as those in the States. Also, that the clinic staff would not understand me or that the process would be hap hazard. I am happy to say that the clinicians and the staff are awesome, and all staff speak English. If people knew about the Doctors, clinic and staff, Cosmed would be inundated with patients. I am extremely pleased with my results , so much so that I plan on having a tummy tuck in 6 months.
Although there may be some unscrupulous medical providers both here in the US and in Mexico, the Cosmed staff and facilities rival any top surgical facility in the US.
