WORTH IT$7,500

I was approved for rhinoplasty by my insurance (HealthNet HMO) but of course they pretty much stuck me to one doctor who was not a plastic surgeon. He was also very young, overworked and had no before/after photos. I decided to pay for the procedure myself and did the research. I am so glad to have found Dr. Amir Karam he is truly an artist and his staff are efficient and caring. I am 100% happy with the results - I wanted to BREATH first and foremost and then have just the smallest hump taken down. Additionally Dr. Karam did a minor touch up on my tip which was very natural, but it is now ever so much more refined. I highly recommend Dr. Karam.

Your nose looks great!! Looks like you made the a very smart decision by going with your more experienced doctor and not just the one that would have been covered!! You probably saved yourself lots of time, money and heartache!!

Go with a reputable plastic surgeon, not just an ENT

I just wanted to underscore that I decided to go with Dr. Karam after meeting with the insurance-approved young ENT specialist several times. I just could not imagine how I might feel if I went with the fully-paid surgery and it turned out a disaster, or even if it turned out 'ok, but.....' I needed to be assured I was in excellent hands. So please, please, make sure you interview your doctors and don't ignore those little warnings in the back of your mind or tummy. Your intuition will steer you right. By the way, Dr. Karam sent a follow up dozen red roses the second day I was home. He does this for all his surgery patients - it's just another example of the high bar he sets for quality customer service. Can't say enough about him obviously....
