Hello everyone - Here are pictures ONE month post op. I had received the ask on the incision and then here are my legs... I am still swollen and had an infection at the drain sites right by my knees so it looks puffier in that area. I am starting to feel better and gaining my strength back. I do wear a compression garment during day and keep my feet elevated as much as I can. My doctor has asked me to walk as much as I can and then come home and elevate my legs for at least a half hour. Can you see a difference yet? Thank you all so much for all the prayers and positive thoughts - Love you all!

I can definitely see the difference - you look great! I'm going to have a spiral thigh lift in October and am excited and nervous at the same time. Would love to see more pics in another month. Congratulations!!

Yes there is a big difference. Now it will take time to settle so that you can see the final results. You must be feeling much better.

Taking my pain medication every 4 hours as well as my antibiotics. So far I feel pretty good considering my incisions go from my knee around my groin area and around and under my butt. He did more Lipo and removed about 7 lbs of skin. He also clamped off and removed several huge varicose veins. Doc said they were so thick and really bad! Over the years they have gotten swollen and have really hurt from time to time. I have had since my early teens. This was a fabulous unexpected addition to my surgery. I stayed over night 2 nights which was great because it gave me time to be more comfortable walking and getting up from bed. Having the freshette female urinal was best thing in world. If I would have had to sit to pee I don't know how I would have managed! The nurses at hospital are going to reccomend to have them for patients made it easier for everyone. I have 4 drains 2 at knees 2 at top of thighs plus wearing compression garment that goes from high up on waist to below the knees with slits to go potty. Cannot sit up straight for a few weeks and have big pillow under my knees for support. Tommorow morning I have my first post op appointment and will update you all with that info once I get back. Hope this information helps you!

I just did arms and breasts three months ago and going to do to either abdominalplasty or spiral thighplasty next - shooting for January. Thanks for sharing your experience. I look forward to see how your recovery and results unfold. Happy healing.

Hello~ All I can say is do not do them at the same time - You really want to be able to use your arms and legs when you do the abdominoplasty so as not to use your core at first. And when you do your legs you definitely need your arms and core to get up. I will post more soon! Thank you!!!

I have incisions on insides of my leg from knee and around my groin then under part of my butt. I'm still in a compression garment and have all surgical dressings in place so with 4 jp drains..so I haven't really seen. The battle is getting up and down once you are down & in comfortable spot you are okay . Walking is stiff and slow and exhausting. Urinal is easy to use once you get the positioning down. I took mines to hospital with me & the nurses thought it was awesome..it would have been so difficult to go on toilet. Plus youwould get your dressings wet. I started taking laxative with stool softener and had my first bm..mind you don't want to strain, you want to hover with toilet seat handles so you don't sit..I thought I was going to give birth it hurt so bad..sorry tmi.

Also you want to be SURE to have a female urinal - best thing I prepared with!
July 27, 2015
Agreed ^^
Toileting is the worst, but a female urinal makes it doable, the first week was hell for me, but everyone is different. And YES I would do it again !!

From where does u r horizontal starts and ends? I will have my surgery next Thursday and I am scared to death. I will have an extended thigh lift to go under my buttocks +lateral thigh lift. Fat will be transferred to my buttocks. Did you need any blood transfusion?
July 23, 2015
Hello - my incision starts at the crease in my groin and goes to my knee...also have incisions around my butt cheek a few inches. PLEASE if you haven't gotten one yet order a freshette from Amazon or a go girl some type of female urinal - they are going to incorporate having them for the patients at the hospital where I was - and TAKE it with you to the hospital. Just lol don't forget it- It was a lifesaver for me as there was no way I was going to be able to sit on a toilet and I still haven't yet! No I didn't need any blood transfusion. Good luck and don't be afraid - I won't lie its not an easy recovery. Feel free to message me if you have any questions

Surgery done!!!

katstime
Surgery was done this morning at 7am. The surgery was 5 hours long then in recovery area until about 5pm. I didn't wake up until about 4pm and with the help of some fabulous pain killers so far so good. Doc has me on bedrest and I have a cath so I can drink as much as I want lol which is great because it helps me to flush out my system. Tommorow it comes out though..I am in compression pants and have 4 drains. More updates soon.
