I had bariatric surgery 1/6/2009 after many years of yoyo diets gaining and losing my weight over and over again. Bariatric surgery gave me a new lease on life taking me from a size 26 pants to a size 6! But right alog withthat gfabulous loss is the loose skin from being so heavy - I was always mainly hips and legs! Last Sseptember 2014 I had an abdominoplasty with Dr. Larry Pollack and he did a fabulous job - now I need legs to go with my tummy ! I know they wont be as tight as my tummy but just not to be embarrased because the skin is flapping and wrinkly wil be a blessing. I hate that my thighs are squashed into my jeans and with some pants you can literally see the rolls of fat - I wil be having a medial extended thigh lift with some lipo. When I had my abdominoplasty I had some lipo done on my legs and have been working hard at building up the muscles in my legs. I have been reading and reading everyones posts and I am right with most of you - SCARED! My doctor promises to take care of me with medication and something that they use in surgery to help with the pain... I have been taking Vitamin C and eating pineapple for bromelaine. I bought a freshette, borrowed a walker and am looking for a toilet seat riser or the handles. Any other ADVICE YOU MIGHT HAVE FOR ME IS SO VERY WELCOME!

i had a lower body lift done in 12/14 with lipo and inner thigh lift done in 3/15. I read all kinds of stories on this site and I have to say...they freshette is so awesome and is a life saver! I didn't need any seat riser with handles as others suggested and u shouldn't need a walker either. I did however buy one which was a waste of the $42 I paid for it! I too am mostly in the middle with most weight on legs thighs butt as I was pear shaped. Now still hate my outter thighs as they are still very fatty and bulge and I have to wear under garments daily to hold me in so my outer hips don't look so bad. I also want to say if you have a trusting surgeon doing your surgery like I did u do not need to be scared at all. Be excited and good luck to you!

He did LIPO on my outer thighs where I had a bulge and although I am still very swollen I can see a HUGE difference! Mine was an extended thigh lift not just inner thighs.. Thank you!

I had a thigh lift on April 23, 2015....I am 53 years old....and sometimes size 2, sometimes 4. I've had terribly loose skin on my thighs for years now. All the exercise in the world won't change it! I finally decided to get rid of all of it!! Well, all I'm going to say to u is, it was well worth ALL MY PAIN AND SUFFERING!!! As of today, 7/21/15, I still have pain in my legs and I will for up to 6 mos post op. My incisions opened btwn my legs, which by the way was really nasty! I did exactly what I was told to do by my doctor, and I'm happy to say, as of the past few days, my incisions have finally closed!!!!! Hang in there post op and not too much walking. I must walk to prevent any clotting, but rest as much as u can! Take ur meds as prescribed and after 2 weeks, u should ask ur doctor about taking Advil instead of pain meds. It's good to ween urself off if u can. Good luck to you and I wish u well!
