DAY 15 POST OPP
WORTH IT$8,750
Hi there, it’s day 15 and I still get cramps one in a while. I have my second follow up appointment tomorrow and I really haven’t been exercising like I’m supposed to. Also if I eat red meat I get really sick it doesn’t digest, so I’m like super full and bloated for 2 days and I have thrown up 2 times because of it. So no red meat. Chicken is okay if you eat just a little. So today my weight is 191.1 so since July 16 I have lost a total of 24 pounds. Although I had the procedure done on July 30th and since the procedure about 2 weeks I have lost 9 pounds.

Feeling much Better - Day 4 post op
So today is Friday August 4 2018 and I’m feeling much better. From 1-10 I would say I am at a 9. I still get minor cramps/pains every once in a while but totally tolerable. So I
was 199.8 pounds yesterday and today I am 199.4
I am still really bloated, I am really retaining water.
I haven’t been able to use the restroom (#2) today, I think the medicine is making me constipated, hopefully it goes away soon. I’ll keep updating. Thanks for reading.

DAY 2 Post Op
I’ve had a wonderful experience so far. My doctor has called me everyday including later in the day of my procedure. I haven’t thrown up at all which is great. I have minor cramping but this is part of the normal symptoms. I weighed 215 the day of my consultation which was July 11, my procedure was scheduled for July 30th. I decided to start the liquid diet 2 weeks early although I cheated 3 days and had some solid food. The morning of my procedure I weighed 199. Today is Wednesday August 1st, and its been 2 days since the procedure. If you are considering the orbera system, being prepared is the best advice I can offer, have everything you need beforehand.

That’s for comments. I am scheduled for consultation this Thursday. What would you suggest to have prior to surgery
Well 2 weeks prior to surgery, I started a good multivitamin, I actually started doing the liquid diet early so I would say a lot of soups on hand. It helped my weight loss tremendously. Just do your research make sure it’s right for you.
Thanks for the feedback. I am scheduled for procedure next week ... excited and nervous. Thanks for posts and feedback..

Had my Orbera placed October 16. No complications thus far; just that feeling of fullness in my throat that first evening from ice chips/ water and into the second day so I decided to just get it over with and vomit. Guess what? I felt so much better and haven’t been sick since. I’m not able to take in the recommended 2-3 protein shakes daily but I’m getting there. I really thought it would be worse. I actually asked the nurse when I awakened if the ballon was even in my stomach. Only after she showed me pics was I convinced. I’m trying not to weigh myself until it’s been a week but I’m curious if I lost any. Thank you Ladies for sharing; I visited this forum a million times.
