Hypertrophic scars, uneven lipo and excess skin... oh my!
$19,600
I'm loooooong overdue for an update. Sorry I haven't responded to the many messages received. I've been frustrated and depressed with my results. I've had 2 scar (breast fold and vertical scar) revisions a dog ear removed and a revision Lipo. The lipo has left me with lumpiness and a banana roll, how can I wear shorts with this thing?! I've also had a few rounds of steroid injections on my hypertrophic scars which have now left me with unsightly purple spider veins. I just want to be done with all of this and have the body I wanted. After all this money spent I can't help but feel this wasn't worth it. I have another appointment in a couple of weeks and I will bring up the excess skin issue. My lower abdomen is also slowly bulging, I have no idea what it is but it just gets worse. I just want all this stress and obsessing to be over!

6.5 weeks - Sex and Gym
Hello ladies! So at I had my 6 week check up and the doctor said everything looks good so I can start to slowly resume normal activities. I was stoked! However, I over-did it an definitely felt the pain later! I went to the gym and did biceps, triceps and squats. Then later that afternoon my hubby and I did the deed. I felt pretty stiff and awkward, plus I don't want him to see a scars yet. Gym and sex went good but then later that night my mid section was hurting. I have been having pain near my belly button off and on and this activity intensified it :-/
Also my compression garment is pretty loose and I would like to buy a new one. Any recommendations??

I think you look great--love the black swimsuit! That's hot! On another note--my hubby keeps asking when we can have sex again. (I'm only 2 1/2 weeks out & not gonna be ready for that yet.) ;-) Good to remember not to overdo it just because we're feeling better. Thx for the reminder.

Thanks HotMama! Yes, don't overdo it, you will pay for it later! You don't realize how much of a workout intimacy really is :-/

That bathing suit looks amazing! And don't worry ano the vertical scar my dear, in time, and tanning, it will be non existent soon. I've had 2 x sections and my scar is there. But barely noticeable. Plus, with your shape and body now, people won't be looking at a tiny little mark on your belly! :)

Gotta agree that bathing suit looks great! Have you seen your progress so far, your boobs, what size are they measuring?

4 Weeks and Emotional
So I am 4 weeks post op and feeling pretty good physically. But I'm at this stage where I'm starting to nit pick. Every time I look in the mirror I am upset about my vertical scar!! I feel like my bikini dreams and $20k are gone :-( My surprise vertical incision isn't healing as nice as I read it would and it's very noticeable in a bikini. It's at the forefront of my mind everyday. My husband feared that we would spend all this money and I would be disappointed. I haven't lead him to believe that he may be right just yet. I have a check up on Monday so we will see what he says. Ugh. It's such a let down.

Your body looks great your scar will get better. Worse case you could get a cute little tattoo there. Stay positive

It seems like this is right about the time where we all start noticing things we didn't after surgery. Maybe because we're starting to feel better physical and we become aware of the imperfections that didn't seem to matter during the initial "high" right after surgery or we weren't expecting perfection but parts look just a little different than we imagined? I promised myself I wouldn't be one of those but I was and still am nit picking certain parts of my body even though I've had a HUGE transformation. You really are looking great! I promise you'll feel better about things and I bet your vertical scar won't be noticeable after a few months. Plus I'm sure if you talk with your Dr. he might be willing to do some type of scar treatment on that part after it heals more. Also you're still very early in recovery and still have a long way to go. Hang in there I can already see that you will be in that bikini this summer and rockin it!

Thank you ladies for taking the time to leave me your words of encouragement. I seriously would probably be a wreck without this forum and wonderful women like you. It's all a long process and I have to remind myself to be patient :-/
