I've been self conscious about my chin (or lack there of) since I was about 18. I never had a strong jawline and juviderm, radiess, etc, all helped. I still had this extra layer under my chin that just doesn't look right to me with the rest of my body. My recent doctor recommended Kybella and after they were running a special I decided to take the plunge.
Fast forward to October 11...
I went in super nervous and almost chickened out after my doctor said how swollen I'd be. The whole thing lasted about 5 minutes. The needle was a tad uncomfortable. It was after that hurt. I felt like I had been punched in the face and then the burning started. After some ice, it stopped immediately. I did take arnica and Tylenol before the whole thing.
The pain hasn't been bad, nothing unbearable. Yes it feels heavy, yes its sore but it's really not that bad. I'm more excited for what's going to happen over the next month! I'll keep you all updated.

You posted your treatment was $350? Is that correct?

Yes it is. I went to Ageless and Beautiful in San Diego and they were running a special for the first treatment. I don't know who or why the doctor is listed above but the person I saw is named Janet.

I'm not saying this in any way to be critical, but I've seen some excellent results from chin implants that may be an option as well. I hope your Kybella treatment works great!! Keep us posted.

I don't feel I need a chin implant. Nor do I want one. Since I've had multiple doctors suggest things similar to Kybella, I decided to go with their professional advice. I'm still pretty swollen which makes it look like I really have no chin but I'm optimistic this will work!

ewitte, I completely agree with your assessment. I'm not trying to come across critical either, but a chin implant would make a world of difference. that was the first thing that came to my mind when viewing the photos. The Kybella treatment is an excellent treatment too so I hope butterflycali has some improvement!

Well if you look down and see that I'm on my second treatment now you will see the huge improvement that it's made. Your looking at pictures that no longer accurately describe my face. Thanks for your critique but I'm happy with my chin and how wonderful Kybella is working :)

I'm on to my second treatment now. I can't recommend it enough. For the first time I feel confident and thinner. It's been worth every penny. I can't wait to see what happens this time!

Day 4

I notice the most pain at night. Otherwise I'm doing a lot better. It feels a little strange to bend over, nothing unbearable just pain. I also have been getting tingling which almost tickles. I'm still a little swollen but it's looking normal again to me. I'm so impatient and just want that extra fat to go away! Keeping positive. I look completely different from certain angles so I've attached two photos. Update you all again soon!

I know how you feel, I am very self conscious about my chin (or lack of chin) too. Just have never done anything about it. Best of luck I hope it comes out exactly as you hope!

It's the worst isn't it? And thank you! I'm very excited and have a good feeling about this so fingers crossed.

One Week Update

The area is very tender and sore. If I move around too much I do feel a little bit of pain. I've noticed the morning is the worst. On the positive side when I looked in the mirror facing my bed this morning my double chin was significantly smaller!! I'm starting to see results and hope it continues to get better.
Yes, please keep posting updates as your results progress! Did you swell at all?
