Hi. I finally went to the well reviewed Dr. Groff in San Diego who will be performing a UPC02 Full Face Laser with an erbium pass around my mouth, lips, and eyes. As far as I have seen his before and afters show the best result. One of my goals is to get a lift to my lip as my lips have sagged due to the aging process and a prior rhinoplasty. Excited and will post pictures along the way.

The UPCO2 Full Face Laser with erbium passes around mouth, lips and eyes DOES smooth, tighten AND raise skin a bit. Makes sense to have this done since there seem to be some wrinkles that might benefit, too, before any actual surgery, per se. Best to you a week from now, tammylg3!

Finally getting a chance to post pictures. The day of the procedure I was given a shot of Demoral, Valium and an IV for mild sedation. I don't remember much. Only when I was awakened afterwards to get ready to go home. Everyone was very nice and the nurse insisted on taking me to my car with a wheel chair. She was smart because I was pretty wobbly. Back at the hotel I started my post op care. Vinegar soaks every two hours with aquafor to follow. I will be doing this for the next 4-5 days along with my antivirals and antibiotics. Had a follow up this morning and Dr. Groff says everything looks great.

Wow! I scrolled down the page Debra. What amazing results! I was just curious what they put you on antibiotics for? To prevent possibility of infection or prevent any post procedure outbreaks? Or both?

Yes - your are right. I was to ward off any possible infection. They also gave me an  Valtrex because some people can get cold sores with this procedure.Â

Thanks Debra! I had a VBeam procedure and the fraxel Restore treatment on the same day about a month ago with Dr. Groff. He is AMAZING! my skin is looking better and better every day, although I suffered a little outbreak about a couple of weeks after my prodecure. It's just now starting to get better, thank goodness! We'll, I have to say I am so happy for you because your skin looks incredible! Your definitely in good hands. :) Have a great weekend! Terre

curious, were you given a choice of sedation for the procedure? I had thought you could be awake during the process. also, 8 months out are you happy with the results you got with dr. groff? is there anything you would have done differently in the healing process?

If so, I thought you needed a surgeon for a lip lift...???
