After breast feeding kids for a total of about 4 years, you can imagine the number it did in my boobs. I started with a full b, small c and after kids have ended up at a deflated aaaaaaa!!! I Love being in the ocean and at the pool and I'm tired of wearing a gapping bikini, padded bras and my kids asking me when my boobs are going to come back. Now to figure out what size to go.....I'm thinking somewhere in the C range. I like to workout and run so don't want too big, but also not too small. Small, mid or full C?? I'd like to be proportionate to my body and look somewhat natural but I want people to think, "wow! are those boobies look so good are they real or not?!" Huh! I know, tall order.

Hi ladies,

I have surgery in 9 days! What would you recommend I do to get ready for surgery?
Would you recommend any vitamins, foods, special bras to purchase, etc??

Exercise always helps me. Yoga, running, and nice hot bath with Epsom salts, lavender oil and a cup of tea. Or you can ask your doc to prescribe you something for the anxiety. Remember that this is a pretty standard procedure that happens hundreds of times a day. You're going to be glad you did it. If you can handle giving birth then you've got this.

Think about how happy you'll be in Summer when you can feel confident and gorgeous in your swimsuit.

Check with your surgeon as everyone is different. My surgeon said I can eat anything. No need for special vitamins. Just no alcohol for 48 hours before the op as it delays healing and no tablets that thin the blood. My surgeon gave me a front fastening Plié post op compression bra that supports and compresses swelling that I need to wear day/ night for 4 weeks but again check with your surgeon. For example mine says no massage needed after as it isn't proven to help but others say different. I found practising using my stomach muscles to get out of bed useful as it puts pressure on your chest if you use your arms. You get constipated after so you'll need to manage that. Get your house tidy and any shopping prepared as you'll need to rest after. Wear a front fastening top after surgery as your chest feels tight/sore after. Not painful more aware of not wanting to damage it. All the best and take care ;-)

Thanks so much HappySal, I go for my preop on Tuesday next week so I'm sure I'll find out about the compression bra then if he wants me to wear one. Thanks for all the info! It is very helpful. When do you get surgery?

You're welcome. I had my surgery on the 3rd Feb, two weeks ago yesterday. Today is the best ive felt. Ive not felt tired and I can move my arms about with less worry that im going to 'pull' something. It's nice taking off my bra in the morning and having a look as they settle more each day. They are starting to move now, when they were first done they were stuck in one place. Shave/ wax/ wash hair etc before surgery as it's more awkard to do after surgery. Put things you need on shelves at a lower level as stretching is hard at first. It goes quick, so be patient and rest so you don't delay healing. It may sound odd but try to enjoy the experience, I did. The staff in the hospital were nice; the surgeon and his colleagues were fantastic and it was quite nice at home not having to do everything ;-)

Great advice! I am a bit nervous and keep wondering if this is the right thing to do which I think is somewhat normal. I'm going to try to stop my nonsense and enjoy the journey. Can't believe I only have one more week to go.

Oh yeah in addition to below, my pre op guidance said don't wear fake tan for 7 days before; remove any nail varnish, gel nails, Acrylic etc before the op; don't wear any cream/lotions on any part of the body including face for 24 hours before op; shower on day of surgery and don't wear deodorant, make up, cream etc. Dont eat/ drink for 6 hours before op except clear fluids like water 2 hours before op (but defo check with your surgeon).
