My original set of implants, done in July of 2006, was performed in San Francisco by Dr. Usha Rajagopal; I felt she did a quite excellent job, but as time has gone on I've become increasingly dissatisfied with the size and shape of my implants, and knew from previous research that there were really only two surgeons in the US I was interested in seeing: Dr. Pousti or Dr. Revis.

Given that I live in California, I flew south to see Dr. Pousti first, and after my consultation with him decided to go through with the procedure -- my goal were extremely large, very obviously fake implants for the 'barbie [RS bleep]' kind of look, and I did not feel any judgment or friction upon stating that whatsoever, either from Dr. Pousti or any of his office staff. They shared in my enthusiasm, provided input and suggestions when requested to do so, and in general made it an extremely painless process.

Dr. Pousti was up-front with me that I would likely not get the size I truly desired in a single operation, but said that he would fill me out as much as my body could reasonably tolerate without risk of complications, and while I expected he'd do a good job, I had absolutely no idea he'd be able to get me to the size I am now.

In terms of selecting the specifications on the devices, while I came in with expectations and assumptions of what would serve me best, I ultimately deferred to Dr. Pousti once I felt he understood my goals -- he's the expert, and consequently we went with Mentor smooth round moderate plus profile implants, 650cc shells, which he managed to overfill to a whopping 1300 or 1350cc to replace my original 450cc set via a periareolar incision. That's a leap of 900cc, which given my frame, was enormous.

I suffered no complications, and feeling returned to its original levels within a handful of months -- it's now early June as I write this, and I have 100% sensation in all areas. This is not my final stopping point for breast augmentation, but it's a great stepping stone, and I'll be returning to Dr. Pousti's care once my skin has stretched a bit further.

Dr. Pousti was skilled, friendly, and able to answer any and all of my questions with considerable ease. His office has done great follow-up even *after* I've slightly dropped the ball in keeping in touch with them, and I have absolutely zero complaints or concerns. He knows what he's doing.
