So I live in San Diego and I'm on the hunt for the perfect surgeon. So far no luck. I've only been to two consultations but I'm not feeling satisfied yet. One place I went to didn't let me try on sizes said it was unnecessary. Another I met with a consultation person not a surgeon. Neither explained to me the difference between high profile and moderate, smooth or textured, round or tear drop. I know that I can google all of this information and I have but I feel like I should be told this information at the consultation and shown all of my options. Am I expecting too much? Should I continue my search? The only thing that was consistent and that both places recommended 400cc silicone implants. Help ladies any feedback about how your consultation went is appreciated!

Glad you're continuing your research...it's a great idea to get several doctor consults, at least until you feel confident about your surgery/surgeon. No I don't think you're expecting too much. This is a huge thing, life changing. You are expecting exactly the same as the rest of us. Keep on your search. I would never settle for a surgeon who didn't let me try on sizes and options. Good luck and don't settle

400CC fits you well, but you could get away with 420. ;P

I can give you a couple of recommendations- based on personal experience and friends- Dr. Chassan in Del Mar- excellent- a bit pricey and Dr. Mofid- excellent! I always tell people to take in pictures of what you want to look like- the look you like and let the doctor suggest the size since everyone is different in terms of how many cc's they need to achieve the look. I am having my current silicone replaced with Natrelle 410 F/X (which is like the high profile) in the next 6 months. I would definitely spend the extra money and go with the gummy type implant,. I live in San Diego and have LOTS of friends who have had good and bad experiences with surgeons. Happy to let you know what I have heard. You need to feel good about the person though. Good luck. I think you will be thrilled when it is over!

Found a surgeon and choose a date!

Found a wonderful surgeon and out down a deposit for my surgery. I'm doing New Year's Eve because it gives me time to save a little more and that's when I have time off work! I believe we are going with 400cc in my left and 425cc In my right. High profile. But all that will be finalized at my pre-op appointment.! Super excited I hope the day will come fast!

After going on numerous consultations here in San Deigo I have finally found a surgeon that fits my needs! He went over all of my questions and just had a good vibe about him. He didn't sugar coat anything and that's what I need. I work in surgery so I see the good and bad outcomes so choosing to do an elective surgery is a very big deal for me. But I've been wanting this for years and my boobs aren't getting any bigger so I'm finally going to do this! I want a natural look nothing huge! All of the surgeons I saw recommended 400cc so that's the size I will be going with. I have put down a deposit with a tentative hold for my surgery date. Shooting for New Year's Eve I just need to make sure I have all my ducks in a row! Can't wait to be on the other side! So happy Realself exist I spend at least an hour on this website everyday!
