I have suffered from tension heads/cluster...
I was tired of getting tension headaches every week. I would get headaches at least 3 times per week. I felt that my headaches were correlated to a mix of different triggers, having a stressful job and at times my menstrual cycle. These headaches interfered with my quality of life. As a Registered Nurse manager, I knew about the benefits of Botox for the treatment of headaches. I decided to go see my plastic surgeon, Dr. Pousti, for Botox treatment. I was tired of taking pills to relieve my pain.
After discussing all the risk and benefits of Botox with Dr. Pousti, I was ready to try Botox for my chronic tension headaches. He was very gentle and only injected my forehead. This was the first time I had ever received Botox injections. The injections felt like little pricks, no big deal. I was informed that it could take about 5-7 days before Botox would take full effect. Dr. Pousti was right, by day 5 Botox had taken full effect, and I have NOT had my chronic tension headaches since my very first Botox injection from Dr. Pousti.

I am headache FREE for over 1 ½ months!!!!! This has changed my life for the best. It has been years since I have experienced feeling like a normal individual who can enjoy life, activities family and friend without the interference of headaches getting the best of me. I am no longer taking any headache medications as well!!!!I am HAPPY, enjoying life, and I want to THANK Dr. Pousti for his gentle manner and great technique in Botox injections, he is a GREAT Plastic Surgeon!!! Dr. Pousti is very kind, and has such a gentle mannerism with me every time I go in to see him. He is very patient, and listens to all of your concerns, and answers all of your questions in great detail. He is very professional, and leaves such a great impression to new patients and returning patients. He makes you feel like you are his only patient. His staff is also FABULOUS!!! Dr. Pousti and his staff are always smiling, and treating you like you are family. As a Registered Nurse that has worked with many Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, and Surgical Specialty doctors, you don’t see this consistent kindness, care and concern behavior towards patients the way Dr. Pousti displays on a very consistent basis.
