2 Days post -op

Ahh, where to start... well, the surgery went well, but it was a very long day! Because of some medication issues, I was awake through most of the procedure. It really wasn't as terrible as I had feared. I'm in very little pain today but very swollen. I'd say a 1 or 2 on pain scale, and believe me, I'm a wimp! I'm all for getting the relief that pain meds provide, but I really don't need it. I go back to the doctor on August 1st, and plan to fly out to my new home in St Croix that evening. I'll write more and give more details in a few days. Still a little sleepy today.

Hello all! I'm having the all on 4 dental Implant...

Hello all!
I'm having the all on 4 dental Implant surgery in 12 days. While my circumstances are a bit unusual, it seems that my fear is not. Actually I'm not exactly fearful, but I am nervous and excited!
I've had just ok teeth for most of my life. But as I've aged, my dental woes have gotten out of hand! I've always been afraid of the dentist, thanks to a tyrannical bully of a dentist in my childhood. And then as I got older, it always seemed that there were more important things to spend the money on. Frankly I just didn't want to go to the dentist. Now at 59, I've decided to put me first and just go for it!
I've recently ended a 5 year relationship, sold my house and I'm moving to St Croix USVI on the 25th of this month. I met with Greg at the San Diego office a couple of months ago and told him of my circumstances and that I would have the money for the surgery until I sold my house. Since that time, he has checked in with me occasionally and figured out a way to make it happen. My house is closing tomorrow and I'll be able to afford the procedure now. They worked me into their schedule so I can have the surgery before I leave the country. Then when my zirconia implants are ready, they're going to fly me back to San Diego for the procedure. I had the option of going to the Tampa FL office, but after meeting with the staff in San Diego, I wouldn't go anywhere else. They are all so nice and caring and genuinely concerned for my well-being. Granted, for that kind of money, they should be, but it's more than that. I feel like I'm in the best hands possible and look forward to sharing my new smile with all of you!

Provider Review

Dr Khatami

I met with Dr Khatami briefly on 2 occasions and he was very warm and friendly, yet professional. I look forward to having him do his magic on my teeth!
