4 YEARS LATER!

I decided to add some pictures of me 4 years post-op. All healed up obviously. Scar looks great. I still don't have feeling in my skin over parts of my stomach. I guess that's never coming back. My belly button isn't perfect and it would take over a grand to get it fixed so I probably won't. I wish I could get it done for free but I was told there would be a cost, sadly. One thing I'd like to add: I was on pain killers and antibiotics for so long that I destroyed my gut health. So after you're done with the meds be SERIOUS about building up your gut health again. I had a lot of pain for years until I realized what was wrong. Do some research and DO IT! Seriously!!!

Happy to fix your belly button for free now that I bought the practice and don't have to pay my old partner to use the operating room. Call to make an appointment!

4 months out!

Quick update. Healing well. Feeling almost back to normal. It's a LONG healing process. If so it again in a second though! Belly button isn't healing perfectly. I've been wearing a plug for over 2 months 24/7 but it's not doing much. Took it out and my belly button looks exactly the same. I may need a revision. Oh well. Il still happy with my results.

Feeling better everyday!

Standing straighter everyday! I quit taking Valium except for at night the last few days and have stopped taking my morning nap. I've still had a nice long nap in the afternoons though. I still have help thank goodness. It's going to be tough when my husband has to leave for 2-3 months next week. I may need to beg my mom to come back. I'm starting to cut back on the hydrocodone. In the mornings my stomach is so nice and flat. I look forward to the day when the swelling stops. Dr Lawton is going to have me start to wear a compression garment at one month post-op. I'll also start the scar cream. I can't wait for the scar to fade! It doesn't bother me now, it will just be so great when I'm totally healed. I'm grateful that I tend to scar nicely. My c-section scar was barely noticeable. Here's some pics I took right after I woke up so you can see the results before I start to swell for the day!

Dr. Lawton has been fantastic! He is very blunt and honest, which is what I prefer in a surgeon, but he's also very funny, which is a great bonus. I've dealt with plastic surgeons before when I was kicked in the face by a horse and I really want someone who will tell me the truth and not sugarcoat anything. He is with me every step of the way during my recovery. He's very reassuring and let's me know the exact things to do to get the optimal results.
