16 months post op

I have been working out 6 days a week and watching my diet strictly I am slowly starting to see the results I want. I still have love handles even though I am down to 23% body fat I am not sure I will ever get rid of them. I do regret not getting lipo of the flanks I think it would of given me a much nicer end result.
I also have a area above my scar that's protruding dr Lawton said its fat that was pulled down from my upper stomach as he dosent touch any of that fat when its pulled down. My primary care doctor has sent me for a ultrasound to make sure its fat and not something else. Dr law tons advise was to aggressively diet but I am currently 117lbs 23% body fat and my nutritionist said it would be healthy for me to lose much more. I dont understand why that area looks exactly the same as it always has but i should get a better idea by next week when my doctor gets the results back.

Working out

I am starting to see great results from working out, I love that I can go to the gym and feel so motivated because I am seeing gains. Pre op I hated working out and mainly because no mater how hard I worked out nothing ever helped my stomach.
I still have the fat above my incision that my ps said was pulled down during my TT, I wish I had more contour because trying to get rid of stomach fat is HARD but I will keep working at it.
I haven’t decided if I am going to go back to get my revision for my belly button as we have moved out of state.
As far as my recovery goes I don’t have any restrictions anymore but I do still find myself babying my abs for fear of messing up my muscle repair.
My incision is still very prominent I am using silicone strips and also applying coconut oil with lavender oil.

Has it really been almost 6 months??

Time has flown by and I can’t believe it has been almost 6 months since I had my surgery. I have been working out now for about 7 weeks and I work out 6 days a week Lifting weights and light cardio.
My ps just cleared me on Friday for core work outs and said I no longer have any restrictions so life as normal. He said if any work outs feel abnormal or hurt then to stop.
The multi pic (top) shows me 3 months ago and the bottom was taken on Friday I am definitely seeing changes in my body and I put it all down to working out.
Since I have hit the gym my obliques have gotten smaller and my concern about needing lipo has gone.
I am still unhappy with my belly button but I can deal with it :/ since my ps won’t do a revision until next year and I am about to move house. I am not sure I want to come back for the revision as I will be moving out of state. I am also not happy with my scar placement but I really don’t know if anything can be done about that.
I have a lot of feeling back in my stomach but parts are still numb and feel funky I hope with time I might get most of my feeling back.
I am excited to see what results I can continue to get working out since I can now include more core work outs into my routine.
Working out pre op was miserable to me as I would never see any improvement to my stomach and it would dishearten me.
I will update again in a month or two :)
