11 years ago I went from 90lbs to 220lbs while pregnant with my twins and 7 years later I had my youngest and gained 60lbs. I have always carried my babies all in my stomach and because of that my stomach is stretched out and a mess.
I managed to bounce back weight wise after having my kids and I currently weigh 117lbs but no mater what I do (diet, exercise) my stomach looks the same.
I also have severe diastis recti and a umbilical hernia.

You look the same as I did before my surgery last week! I had twins 8 years ago and a singleton last year. I am currently 124lbs and 5'9. There was no exercise that was going to get rid of that skin. Can't wait to see your after pics! I'm 11 days post surgery and happy so far. I can't wait for the scar to fade some and get my bikini on again :)

I also has a hernia and dis stasis very severe. The doc said he doesn't see abs so far apart very often. Larger than a fist at the top! Us twin mommas need this surgery!

Yes twins sure are rough on a momma body. Congrats on your surgery do you have before and after photos posted?
How has your recovery been going?
May 15, 2017
I actually didn't find this website until I came home from surgery and was researching the number of weeks before I could pick up my baby (4-6 weeks, yikes!) and I came across this page. Recovery has been going well so far! 14 days PO tomorrow and I'm finally standing straight. I'm not sleeping in my bed yet as I still find my recliner more comfy. My scar doesn't look quite as low as I hoped but I'm hoping with less swelling it may appear lower. All in all, I'm happy I did this but I'm even happier to have the first 2 weeks behind me. Are you pleased with your final result?

Sorry! I just read back and realized you're getting your surgery next week!! You are going to love it when you peek at your belly the first time!! It's an amazing difference right off the hop and it certainly helps to see this when dealing with the pain. After a twin pregnancy though, you will likely find the pain isn't so bad ;) I only took Tylenol from day 1 since I'm still nursing and was off that by day 3. You've got this momma!

Wow that's amazing that u only took Tylenol good job :)
Did u have a c section with your twins? I did with mine I have heard a c section pain is worse then TT??
May 16, 2017
I had a c-section for both of my pregnancies. I actually found the TT worse but it wasn't so much the pain but the discomfort (not standing straight-hurts back, darn drain is awkward, no cute baby to keep you busy) BUT the pain and discomfort only lasts a few days! By day 3 I was feeling almost normal, just hunched over. C-section pain lasts much longer!

That's what I told my husband (no cute baby to look after lol) he said you handled your c sections perfectly fine I said yes but when you have a newborn to care for You have to lol.

Aww yeah I can imagine that's really hard :( my youngest is 4 and the twins are 10 so I don't have to worry about lifting any of them

11 days ..... I have so many thoughts running thru my head right now it's hard to think straight.
I am freaking out about the recovery I am so active and hate laying around it's going to be hard. I am also worried about the pain ????.
I don't know what I truly need to help me thru the recovery I have read so much on line and some say you need a recliner others say they did fine with out one, some say you need a shower stool others say they managed to not have one.
I really don't want to spend extra money on items that might not get used but I am also scared of not having what I might need.
I have my pre op this Friday so I am hoping my DR can help me work thru some of my thoughts so I can get organized.
I purchased a light weight zip up hoodie and pair of Capri yoga pants today to wear home from the hospital because that's another thing I was worrying about not having anything comfortable to wear home. The stress is real!

The stress for me has also been real.... but I believe it will all come out in the wash. Do what you can and don't stress over the rest. I have a recliner and my dad gave me a walker he had from an old hip surgery. I don't have a shower chair, but if i need one, I will put a towel over a folding chair and put it in the shower. My husband and I are actually planning he will just come in the shower and wash me at least the first time or two...I read another gal did that and she said it worked fine for her. I have a lanyard and bought safety pins at the dollar store to pin my drains around my neck on the lanyard....but we really won't know until we're in it... we got this!!!!!!
