Patient education is the most important part of any consultation. Once you know the risks, benefits and limitations of the procedures then we can discuss your goals and apply the rules to the anatomy to arrive at a plan. If you don't start with education then you don't get to be part of the decisions. Since it is your body it is critical you are involved in the decisions!!

Before and after

So this was a day after surgery. Such a huge difference. Couldn't be happier

This is long overdue, but better late than never....

This is long overdue, but better late than never. I'm 33 with 3 kids my youngest is 7. I've been wanting to get as close as I can to my pre baby body as possible. I had 4 consultations set up, however; it only took me two to find my doctor.I initially wanted implants wanted to see if a lift was needed (I didn't really want scars if at all possible). The first doctor I went to I didn't get to really talk to. I arrived at the office, was taken back by one s nurse and was told to try on sizers and watch a video on lifts and implants. I had a lot of questions I wanted to ask the doctor. The doctor came in maybe 5-10 min after I finished the video looked at me in the sizers with my shirt on and said ok we'll put this size in. I lifted my shirt to show him my stomach, still had on jeans and a belt and he was like you need a tummy tuck. I asked would I be able to get flat with just lipo, he was like ok well do lipo quote her. And left. He never examined me or anything. Needless to say I was a little put off. It was like he didn't really want to take the time to speak with me. Answer questions or anything. So FF 2 days later I'm back in the same office to meet with Dr. Lawton. I was honestly just wanting to get it over. I figured they are in the same office surely they are the same. Couldn't be more wrong. It was like night and day. So I was taken back by a nurse again but I was taken to an office instead of an examination room. About 2 min later Dr. Lawton came in and introduced himself. I explained to him what I wanted. And he explained why it may or may not work. He showed me what kind of results I would get if I needed a lift and didn't get one and just got implants which by the way is not cute. He explained why a tummy tuck would be a better option than lipo. I got to ask all the questions I wanted and never felt like I was taking to much of his time and didn't feel rushed. I appreciate the fact that he educated me on my decisions. After I was satisfied with our conversation I was taken to an examination room where he measured my breast determined yes i did need a lift on both and definitely a tummy tuck. He told me if I got lipo because of the excess skin I would not be happy with the outcome. He also told me he would not do a lift and implants at the same time. That was a bit discouraging until he explained how it would increase the risk of complications. I don't have the best of luck so I always tend to err on the side of caution. I trusted his judgment and decided to get a full TT and BL.

Dr. Lawton is great. He's very professional he takes the time to explain everything. He won't exchange quality for quantity which was important to me. He doesn't sugar coat anything but at the same time he's not abrasive. He's actually kind of funny once you get to know him. I've yet to be disappointed with my surgeon.
